DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! I had to report them to the Legal Ombudsman who agreed Franklin’s offer a poor service. It took Franklin’s (Denise Watson)seven months to complete on two properties even though there was no chain. They lost documents and took over two years to send through NHBC documentation. They had an IT breach and we received scam emails for a few months showing our personal information from the hacker. This meant we had to change our internet provider to prevent further scam emails. They do not record their telephone conversations, so whatever you instruct them verbally is not noted and therefore you cannot hold them to account over promised verbal instructions you receive or give them! BEWARE!

Poor Shocking Services I chose Milton Keynes Franklins Solicitors purely based on the really good online reviews and it was such a mistake. The whole experience has been extremely stressful. The firm took our case on the 6th Aug 2021, the solicitor was Shiv Agnihotri, he didn’t do anything for us until 45 days later. Finally, when he started looking into our purchase, it was already Oct 2021, then we were told a month later he left the confirm on the 25th Nov 2021 and our case has been passed on to a new solicitor, Lee Holmes. We immediately contacted to our new solicitor for an update, but we didn’t hear anything back until 22nd Dec 2021. During this one-month period, we have emailed, called numerous times, but we were never able to speak to him, only his assistants and the answer was always that the solicitor was reviewing the file. Bear in mind, I was buying a bog standard apartment without mortgagee, and there was no upper chain in seller side and he and his solicitor was cooperated. It supposes to be an easy transaction, but it took more than 5 months to complete. We have had a few houses transactions in the past, this is the most painful experience. I have never worked closely with the seller (this is the only time) to push the deal through. One of those weeks, I had to call them almost every day for them to follow up my case. I have paid Franklins Solicitors more than £1400 for their service and I haven’t received the service I deserve. The reason why I publish this review now is that I just receive the document from the Land Registry and I don’t have deal with Franklins Solicitors anymore. I don’t trust them AT ALL.

I recently had the misfortune of putting my sale and purchase in the hands of Franklin's Solicitors. It was the most stressful time, I never thought I would battle for cooperation with someone I was paying for a service from. The solicitor who handled my matter was rude, patronising, and worst of all showed no sense of urgency or real interest in whether things progress or not. Just read the other reviews on here, the problem is systemic and no doubt a culture issue which comes from the top. The service was so unprofessional, do yourselves a favour, save the stress and hassle and find a decent solicitor for your move.

I would like to tell you how happy I was with the overall treatment from your company from the ladies in reception to Kathryn and her team who dealt with my Will requirements in a speedy and professional manner. I will not hesitate in recommending Franklins Solicitors to anyone I know seeking professional legal help in the future.

I approached Franklins after being recommended them by my mortgage advisor. I have to say I have heard some horror stories about solicitors and was not looking forward to the process. But, Franklins, in particular Emma Sinclair changed my mind completely. Emma took our case on with the upmost professionalism. She was always available to speak to and easy to get hold of. She kept us up-to date at each stage of the process, explaining things we didn’t understand and advising us along the way. Bad experience with Franklins. Service was disorganized and not very attentive - especially as a first time buyer. When I moved in I found a gas leak. I was relying on trusting that the solicitors would do the due diligence but found after completion they hadn't asked for a recent gas safety check and only one appliance had been checked.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience with Franklins Solicitors LLP during a conveyancing matter. In my dealings with the solicitor assigned to me, Lawrence Smith, I often felt that the communication was abrupt and unhelpful. In my experience, responses lacked the information I needed, and the tone sometimes came across as rude or dismissive. Queries frequently went unanswered, which made the entire process unnecessarily stressful. What made the situation even more frustrating was that my case was dropped without any clear explanation. When I tried to contact Lawrence Smith for clarity, it felt as though I was being avoided, and attempts to reach her through the firm’s staff didn’t lead to any meaningful communication or resolution. Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend their conveyancing services and hope the firm improves its communication and client care.

Slow to follow up queries and didn't always call me back when requested. Estate Agent found them difficult to deal with.
