Used Ely so we could go into office to sign papers.
Jackie provided a good service but the whole conveyancing process needs sorting as ours took 19 weeks with only a small chain. There needs to be more communication between Estate agent/ solicitor/ client to enable the process to be quicker.

Antiquated, outdated and unorganized.. a simple house conveyancing matter feels like its happening despite of them not because of them.
Very little advice or work being done, they essentially just seem to pass documents back and forth. Its also extremely frustrating they they prefer to avoid modern systems everyone else is using, my last two house purchases over the last 14 years have been completed using electronic document handling,
WGA send mixed signals in one email after being pushed they say they use virtual Signature, in another they outright refused to do anything electronically. outside factors apart a process that should have taken 2-3 weeks maximum is delayed with hard copies taking weeks to pass between all parties..
I'd say its time they embraced the future but its not even that, they seem stuck in 1993 whilst everyone else has been using electronic documents for 20 years...!!!
No real level of attention and when you raise an issue there is no apology or acknowledgement, its simply ignored and they carry on regardless.
