Advice with copyright infringement
I recently engaged Mr Costas Nicolaou to advise me on a copyright infringement claim which was made against my company. The claim involved the use of a single photographic image which was downloaded from the internet by one of my staff and used, without appropriate permission, on our website. All of this was done without intention to cause harm and there was absolutely no commercial gain or advantage achieved by my company. The company who made the claim behaved appallingly and it became clear early on that we were the subject of a "false" claim. Mr Nicolaou helped and advised me and wrote two letters to the claimant's representative. Eventually, I negotiated a reduction in the amount of the claim and I paid the fine. I have received no acknowledgement or receipt which is, in my mind, further proof of the spurious nature of the claim. The matter is now closed. Mr Nicolaou was incredibly helpful, professional, friendly, reassuring and in fact flawless throughout in his conduct. Phone calls were always answered in person and correspondence was also timely and faultless. His charges were perfectly reasonable. This is the second time I have had cause to appoint Aaron and Partners and on both occasions I have received perfect service from decent people who have done their best to help me. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. They are entirely decent people who have the very best interests of their clients at the forefront of their business dealings.
