The first communication I received from the company was demanding that I fill in forms that were overdue that had not previously been sent to me. I completed the forms and then was told that I did not need to have sent them all at this point. We had several comments from the estate agents that they were still waiting on our solicitors for things in the chain. And they had not confirmed the moving date until very late in the process (less than a week). We also had confirmation that a task would be undertaken that was not done. Whilst the individuals that I spoke with directly were pleasant and professional we had a fairly negative experience overall.

The process was managed well but the initial online registration and form filling process was not easy. Whilst acknowledgement to our queries regarding delays were answered promptly the reasons were sometimes slow coming which may be attributable to the buyers solicitors. Some communications and requests lacked detail and needed us to seek clarification. It seems that email is the preferred communication as it was difficult to speak with anyone by telephone. The completion letter appears to be a generic template which did not reflect our circumstances. However, everything is now satisfactorily concluded.

Excellent service - timely, efficient and with good communication, our remortgage was carried out very swiftly and with no issues. Highly recommend Denise Donkin.

We used Frances Magee and her team at the Stockton office for the sale and purchase of our properties. Frances and Kelly always kept us up to date, responded to emails and phone calls quickly and ensured any queries were answered. Even though our chain was not the smoothest and didn’t always go to plan this was no fault of Frances and her team and they always did everything they could to complete as soon as possible. Tilly Bailey & Irvine have been an awful company to use in the sale of my house. Communication is horrendous, they do not communicate with each other, and never answer the phone. I was recommended these by my estate agent as things would be quicker and smoother and all they have done is cause delays and unnecessary stress. The initial paperwork has been returned 3 times electronically and also via recorded post, which cost us a small fortune and they never mentioned that it needed to be posted in the first place causing further delays. Despite the fact I can see when the post was signed for by the company via RM tracking, they claim it did not arrive till a week later and is still incorrect. They have know set me a 37 page form to print off which I am obviously not going to do. I have requested they post this form out to me, but I wont hold my breath. The boy they have assigned to my case also has a dreadful attitude while on the phone and via emails. I am too scared of losing my buyer to stop working with these solicitors as months have now passed, but I would never use this firm again nor would I recommend anyone else does.
