The team were helpful and worked through some challenges with the property well. There were times when they could have provided better clearer information requests to prevent ongoing back and fourths but overall we are happy with the service. Property purchase was complete. The worked through the Attenuation tank issue well and were able to advise us on that. The team did an excellent job at delivering exactly what we expected, even through some challenges which looked as though were going to kibosh the purchase.
Catie and Chelsea were outstanding from start to finish. This was a challenging transaction with tight deadlines and real pressure right up to the final stages, but they handled everything with professionalism, persistence and clear communication throughout. Despite the time constraints and complexities, they stayed on top of every detail and ultimately got the deal over the line when it really mattered. Their responsiveness, organisation and ability to push things forward made a huge difference. Very, very pleased with the service and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I received a very quick response outlining all the costs. I dealt mostly with Nicole Gibbs she was extremely professional, understanding and responded without delay in what was a very difficult process in particular with my buyers solicitors. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her or Backhouse who I have used before. Nicole's service was second to none. Outstanding service, prompt response and when you ring someone always answers the phone.
The process was really quick and easy, good value for money. We never had to chase for anything, Chelsea was always on the ball with everything and made what is usually a stressful situation completely stress free. Not the cheapest out there but you get what oyu pay for with legal services. We have used you before and will always recommend others to use you in the future. Ease of service, easy to get hold of, friendly staff - overall a positive service.
Rob, Macy, Megan and other members of the conveyancing team worked hard to meet our tight timelines. They respected and understood our circumstances and worked efficiently.

I’ve recently used Backhouse Solicitors after being dismissed by my employer after over 30 years. I went to them just to get an offer agreement signed that my old firm had offered me. It was Sarina that told me that I had a good case for unfair dismissal and so the process began. Sarina was outstanding from start to finish. She listened to everything I had been through, and our conversations felt like a therapy session as well as legal advice. She was incredibly supportive, compassionate, and always made me feel like she was firmly in my corner. Sarina explained every stage of the process clearly, outlining all the possible options along with the risks and benefits of each approach. Her knowledge and professionalism gave me confidence throughout. After nearly 3 years of going back and forth with the other side (they were proving to be very difficult) we managed to get an out of court settlement over 3 times higher than the original offer. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Backhouse Solicitors, especially their Employment team, to anyone dealing with an employment dispute. Their support and expertise made a difficult situation so much easier to navigate.

The work done was very clear and all questions answered even 'spur of the moment' matters were dealt with quickly and effeciently. A friend of my late wife asked if I could recommend a solicitor for Will purposes and I recommended Backhouse. She later advised me that she was more than satisfied with the recommendation.
