Boys & Maughan had been recommended to me for the purchase of my mothers apartment several years ago. They were excellent so I immediately contacted the same solicitor from the sale, of which I was now acting as executer. Karen and her paralegal Lyndsey were so helpful and approachable. I found it was more like talking to a trusted friend when I needed advice or assistance with forms on queries. From start to finish they were a pleasure to deal with. I also found the fees very reasonable and they did not increase although from initial quote to completion was nine months. I would highly recommend.

Graham Tong handled my house move at Boys & Maughan, very ably assisted by Helen Holman and Gemma Penders. From the outset, I felt I was in a safe pair of hands. Moving home for the first time in nearly 20 years felt like a big undertaking, but Graham took the weight off my shoulders. He asked both me and the sellers’ solicitors exactly the right questions at the right time, and his care and thoroughness gave me real confidence throughout. What particularly impressed me was his foresight. Graham explained that he wanted to prepare the ground in case I decided, even six months later, that the house wasn’t right for me. He recognised that a future buyer might raise the same questions I had, along with others I wouldn’t have thought to ask. Some issues were obvious; others were much more subtle. Knowing that Graham had looked ahead and addressed those points gave me reassurance that extended well beyond the purchase itself. I could settle into my new home feeling confident that, should I ever choose to move again, the groundwork had been done. I’m very grateful to Graham, Helen and Gemma and would happily recommend them.

Our recent house sale and purchase was managed by Boys and Maughan and we found them to be very competent and professional throughout.
