We instructed Robert Moseley to assist us with the sale of our rental property. It was quite a complex transaction involving a number of loans, and with tenants in situ. We were impressed with his ability to identify these issues quickly. He also engaged with stakeholders proactively to ensure that a positive outcome was reached for us. I called just before they closed yesterday and spoke with a really helpful lady (didn’t take her name unfortunately), who advised that no one was around to help and to try again first thing in the morning which I did.
I spoke with a women this morning who couldn’t have been any more disrespectful and rude if she tried.
All I wanted was to understand what the process was and how I would need to go about speaking with someone about a potential boundary dispute. Halfway through speaking she cut me off, told me that ‘she didn’t know what I was advised but I would need to speak with a solicitor and that it costs £195+Vat’. When I then tried to speak to explain the above, she hung the phone up on me.
I wasn’t angling for free advice, as I said above I just wanted to understand the process of how I would go about speaking with a solicitor and what potential next steps would look like. I’ve never been through this process before so it’s completely new to me.
Safe to say that if I do need solicitors, I won’t be using these guys which is a disappointing after how well I was treated yesterday and initially first thing this morning.
I work in customer service myself and we all have bad days, but there’s no excuse what so ever to speak to someone the way she did with me. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen to often.
