Incompetent service

After appointing B&L, no works were undertaken in the sale of our property - apparently the paperwork 'slipped down a hole'. Take your business elsewhere and use a firm who do the basics. Not recommended in any form.

Thank you for your feedback, Jonathan. We acknowledge that on this occasion we overlooked the progression of your matter which resulted in a 3 week delay in sending out a draft contract. We have apologised and offered our commitment to expedite the matter to get it back on track, but understandably you have chosen to instruct a different firm. Please rest assured that we take such matters seriously and will be putting enhanced safeguards in place to avoid such occurrences in the future.

Excellent helpful and understanding

Simeon was instrumental in figuring out our best options with solving a complicated business issue. He simplified the process and very quickly understood exactly what was required and what our options were. Communicating back and forth with the opposing solicitor in an efficient manor and ensuring the balance between advising us sensibly and getting the best result for us financially was maintained throughout. I couldn't recommend him enough. Hopefully i will never speak to him again! As if i do it means I have another issue!! But if it did happen I would know where to go. Thank you 👍

This was an unusual and relatively complex situation which required the drafting of a demerger contract specific to our situation. From our initial meeting where we discussed the objectives of the demerger and the requirements to protect the terms HMRC clearance received, you took the lead and navigated calmly through what could have been a very difficult and stressful undertaking. Super professional and speedy

Melissa was great to deal with from minute one. Clear advice and extremely prompt on responses for any query no matter how big or small. She was great with attention to detail in any small print within the opposing solicitor's terms and contracts, and left no stone unturned. Would thoroughly recommend if you're looking for someone to assist with conveyancing when buying a home. Five star!

We can highly recommend the firm after their great help and quick response at all stages in the process of buying and selling property. It was very helpful knowing we could trust our solicitor, not something you can always say unfortunately so we were very pleased we chose them. I used Eleanor Lister (Berry and Lamberts) for my first property purchase and I couldn't recommend her enough! She was easily contactable, whenever I had a question she would be there to answer it straight away, very informative and really stuck up for me as a buyer and made sure I was aware of things throughout every part of the transaction.
