Sophie Kendall from their Middlesbrough branch was handling my personal injuries claim with CICA. It was not straightforward as CICA took about 18 months to finally settle it and tried to even say that I was not eligible for a payout. However throughout the whole process Sophie remained very professional and helpful and kept me updated whenever CICA gave her an update. Initial impressions were positive; however, the overall service was disappointing. Communication was poor, with responses to queries often requiring repeated prompting and chasing. There appeared to be a lack of proactive problem-solving and attention to detail. Interestingly, communication was prompt when requesting funds, but the same urgency was not demonstrated when addressing concerns or responding to queries. overall assessment 2 out of five

Lack of personal interaction. Send forms out on your phone for you to fill in and sign. This is fine for the young people who know how to do all these things. Phone Abbigail up and she's never there. Somebody else does help out but it's never Abbigail. We had to go to Pontefract branch on numerous occasions to get help from them. It is 20 years since we last moved house and I suppose things change but not always for the better.

In a world where Conveyance Solicitors have a bad reputation. I cant recommend Emma Burnham and Alicia enough. In a complicated chain of over 6 links. Everyone else's solicitors messed up, complicated things and put our move in serious danger of collapse. The one beacon, shining light, through it all was Emma. It's taken nearly nine months. . . . .NINE MONTHS to get to the point of exchanging. Emma has been incredible throughout and has been a real comfort during all of the nonsense above. Cant thank her and Alicia enough and apologise for my meandering rantings. House moving is hard, but Emma made it a lot easier for us than anyone else in our chain. Make a good decision, choose Emma and Alicia, absolute dream team.
