Commercial Dispute Litigation

When faced with a complicated High Court claim / counter claim litigation we turned to Forbes. We were new to this situation and to be honest very worried about it. Paul's calm and unflappable style is just what we needed to keep us focussed on getting a good outcome. Paul guided us through the various stages right up to and including mediation where the matter was resolved to our satisfaction. Paul was very client focussed and when the going got tough he maintains a dogged determination to keep us moving forward. Paul kept us on track to resolve the matter ASAP without the risk and stress of a court case. You don't realise the toll legal proceedings can take on you until wake up one morning and they have gone away. My company had some problems getting paid off of a client for some subcontracting works done at Christmas time. I spoke with Michael Swan at Forbes on the phone and after a small fee he had written up the legal document to ensure the client paid within a set time frame… the letter never even made the mail box. 4 and a half hours later they had settled the invoice in full on the same day after nearly 4 months of myself requesting payment. 100% recommend if you are having problems with payments then Michael is the man to speak too. What an amazing results after being owed thousands for nearly 4 months.

John Lambe acted for me in resolving a dispute with my late Father's estate. He took the time to understand the circumstances under which my Father signed the Will. At all times he was friendly, supportive and pragmatic. He has a vast knowledge of contentious probate, access to an exceptional Barrister, and together they were able to help me understand the complexities of the laws relating to my case. Disgrace of a firm, these solicitors where chosen to act on behalf of together housing association in regards to selling my share of my shared ownership property, essentially just the middle man from my buyers solicitors and my solicitor. Whole process took 5 months because response times where nothing short of a disgrace. Case handler Claire wouldn’t speak to me because I wasn’t the client even tho I was having to pay the final bill so surely I am the client? So after 5 months of very poor service they then had the cheek to send me a bill of £2775 and my buyer a bill of around £700!! For doing literally nothing! They were just the middle man!! I paid my other 2 solicitors just over that total amount combined who had to do all the usual conveyancing bits and pieces. I had to ask my solicitor to double check that Claire hadn’t fell onto a calculator and just thought “that’ll do” £2775!!? Wow When challenged on the amount the response was a snapshot of some small print in my shared ownership lease stating a charge of up to 1.5% or some croc and bull, so basically they charged that because they can. So thanks for robbing me blind and thanks again for a terrible service. Stay well clear of Forbes

Where do I start from being to end incompetent told witness statement wasn't inprotent by a teenager collage girl working there very little confidence in my barrister changing statements without in informing me ..on day off trial no evidence prosecution approach my barrister asking if id take a less charge...wow must think I was guilty of a crime..I'm 100% they are in bed with the prosecution STAY CLEAR OF THIS SOLICITORS IF YOU NOT WILL GO TO PRISON
