AVOID AT ALL COSTS RUNNNNNNN

Complete incompetence! Absolutely awful awful awful they ruin lives and don't care. 1 star is giving them a generous score. They deserve -1 million stars. If you want your life turned upside down just let these people handle your house sale. RUN WHILE YOU CAN! Literally no knowledge of the processes involved in selling a house... sheer INCOMPETENCE.

Brilliant service

We recently appointed Taylor and Emmet to oversee our house sale.
The overall service was excellent throughout and would highly recommend to all. We will certainly use them again when we purchase our next house.

Professional service

We have just completed a house purchase and a house sale which at the best of times is very stressful. We decided to try Taylor and Emmet out of their Arundel Gate office in Sheffield and we're introduced to Liz Alderson and her assistant Jane Topham. We all worked together to achieve the goal of completing both the sale and purchase on the same day, Liz and Jane were absolutely first class in delivering what I believe is a very difficult milestone to complete both transactions on the same day. We would highly recommend anyone needing a first class solicitor to look no further, also we feel their rates are very fare indeed.
Many thanks to Liz and Jane you did a tremendous job for us today.

Lazy, expensive, unprofessional

I used T/E as a first time buyer a few years ago, having fairly randomly picked them off a list given to me by my lender because I was in a rush to proceed. There were lots of delays, but I assumed this was par for the course for solicitors.

In the interests of speed and convenience, I chose to use them again when remortgaging. I waited over a week to get a reply to my email enquiry, then later when I had done lots of ground work with the rest of the process I naively asked if they could proceed.
Fortunately, when I later discovered that I could get better service and value elsewhere, they had barely even acknowledged my case so it was easy to drop them and instruct a proper firm of solicitors.

If you want to be overcharged by a group of disinterested people to add weeks to your property purchase, use Taylor Emmet.

Avoid at all costs

Having used Taylor and Emmet for a property access dispute, I found their level of communication abysmal and their level of competence very questionable. They are only there to relieve you of your hard earned money.
I can honestly say that considering I was using a Partner for the dispute, Taylor and Emmet are possible the worst solicitors I have had the misfortune to use.

If I could leave 0 stars I would

Not listened to from the start. My 7 year old spells better than some of the letters I've received! They don't claim their cash on top of yours, they take 25% which I wouldn't have minded if the solicitor had settled for a figure I'd agreed to. He settled without consulting me and the first I knew was when the cheque dropped on my door. Do not use this firm! Graysons are much better!

Excellent conveyancing service

Elizabeth Alderson and Claire Dibb dealt with our sale and purchase and I could not recommend them more highly.
They were a knowledgeable, professional, and were always prompt at responding to emerging queries or issues.
In our case the sale of our property fell through a week prior to the move and their advice and support was invaluable.
You can find cheaper firms but you get what you pay for and I doubt you’d find many better.
