Like many householders in Sheffield our house was leasehold. The ground rent was derisory, only £2 per annum, but we decided that it would make future sales simpler if we bought the freehold. In fact we saved more than I was expecting for stamp duty which as it turned out I needed later for some additional refurbishment works. It wasn't exactly a straightforward transaction as we were creating leases for properties with a refinance. He saved me some money on the legal title drawings as well with some advice. I can't really recommend Hassan enough, I doubt I'll look elsewhere for legal representation. A good solicitor is hard to find.
