We cannot thank Daniel Maiden at Cartwright King solicitors enough for helping us secure a special guardianship order for our grandchildren, there was so many times I was worried about the outcome but Dan was amazing, he has a very down to earth approach & always managed to keep us calm throughout the entire process, he explained everything in a way I could understand & didn’t baffle us with legal jargon, he kept me updated & was always available when I had any questions (which was a lot), he was always patient and caring & supported us through a very stressful time. The day we arrived at court, we were truly blown away by Dan’s confidence & knowledge. Thanks to Dan’s expertise our grandchildren now have a secure home and a wonderful future ahead of them. I found Shumyla during one of the hardest times of my life, fighting in court for my child. Having her by my side has meant so much to me. She works until late and somehow is there again early in the morning, I honestly don’t know how she does it. She keeps me updated, remembers the details and always makes time to give me advice. But what I appreciate most is how human she is. I try to be strong, but I’m not strong all the time. Sometimes I cry, sometimes I feel lost, and she listens with patience and kindness. At such a difficult time, that means more than people realise. I would choose her and her team again without hesitation. Baris is also an incredible lawyer, and I’m so grateful to have them both beside me. Thank you, Shumyla, for your hard work, your care and for being there when I’ve needed you most.
