Its tempting to delay making a will but failing to do so will land your family with a lot of trouble and worry at a time when they least can cope with it. Wills are like fingerprints, similar in many ways, but the devil is in the details. Ours didn’t have too many complications but to make the right choices we needed clear, practical advice. Sarah was able to supply this and draft wills were posted soon after our consultation meeting. A couple of phone calls cleared up the finer points and we were given a choice of appointment times to call in the Longfield office for signature and witnessing. A week later we received the electronic and paper copies and the assurance that the originals will be filed in the Tolhurst facility. There was also a leaflet on Lasting Power of Attorney, another necessary thing to attend to in later life. We are studying this and will certainly return to this company in the near future

I bought my home using MT as advised by Ward and Partners a number of years ago. I found the whole experience stressfull. I feel that the transaction went ahead with a major conflict of interest on their part, the failed to inform me until after the purchase took place that they were also acting for the sellers and that I would be paying the fees for the seller - a nasty unexpected cost. Donna Trewerne made some huge mistakes which have proven extremely costly to me, from failing to provide the TPO certificate (quite expensive in its own right) and incorrectly stating that no TPO was in place, to submitting the wrong draft of the deed of trust between owners - thank god my old neighbour kept a copy of the document he signed as a witness. All in all, a horrendous experience. Edit - in response to MT's reply, I have an email chain with R Carter from 2017 raising a lot of these concerns, and emails to Donna in 2014 and again 2015 both unanswered querying the documentation for the TPO, sellers fees and the conflict of interest. I note your staff kept getting the property address wrong.

I can only give praise of the highest order for Jessica’s professional conduct when dealing with my case which should be expected but what must be identified, is the level of sincerity and in turn, comfort and hope that one is endeared by. After having problems with an apartment purchased at auction, the speed at which a lease was sorted (1 week) after being told could take 18 months was exceptional. They’ve sorted a few property purchases and always been efficient
We purchased a property and used Martin Tolhurst 3 years ago and had a terrible experience so was very reluctant to use this time round but very glad we did. Our solicitor Cally and her assistant Richard was absolutely amazing, any questions or emails were answered by Cally when in office and when out Richard was always on hand to answer questions especially towards the end Richard was amazing chasing our buyers solicitors and keeping us up to date.
