The loss of a loved one is a deeply profound experience. When faced with the shock and distress of a Will being challenged, together with demands for the keys to their property and account details even before the funeral, it would be easy to make the wrong choice when seeking legal representation. Fortunately, I turned to Mr Giles Dobson, who came recommended by a friend. Mr Dobson helped us navigate one of the most testing and unjustified situations our family has ever faced. It was a cost I could certainly have done without, but I never had a panic attack every time an invoice arrived because the billing was always clear and easy to understand. As with any legal matter, I would encourage anyone to carry out their own research alongside their solicitor's advice. This was particularly important in our case, as some aspects required culturally competent and nuanced consideration. Mr Dobson never made me feel that raising these issues was a burden. He remained receptive to the information and research I shared, and I will always appreciate that. To me, it is the sign of someone who continues to learn and develop professionally, and that can only make them a better solicitor. Most importantly, Mr Dobson did not add to the burden of one of the most difficult periods of my life following a bereavement. He remained calm, strategic, thorough and humane throughout. For that, I remain sincerely grateful and would recommend him without reservation.

I have worked with Georgina in connection with Wills, Probate and LPA's, albeit before she joined the Martin Tolhurst Partnership. I could not recommend her more highly, as a Solicitor, or as a person, when dealing with such personal and sensitive matters, at a time when the client is likely at their most vulnerable.

I employed Lucy Benning to deal with my late husband's estate. She was exemplery in all areas. A very pleasant and approachable person. O would highly recommend her

Its tempting to delay making a will but failing to do so will land your family with a lot of trouble and worry at a time when they least can cope with it. Wills are like fingerprints, similar in many ways, but the devil is in the details. Ours didn’t have too many complications but to make the right choices we needed clear, practical advice. Sarah was able to supply this and draft wills were posted soon after our consultation meeting. A couple of phone calls cleared up the finer points and we were given a choice of appointment times to call in the Longfield office for signature and witnessing. A week later we received the electronic and paper copies and the assurance that the originals will be filed in the Tolhurst facility. There was also a leaflet on Lasting Power of Attorney, another necessary thing to attend to in later life. We are studying this and will certainly return to this company in the near future

I have used Martin Tolhurst for many years for my families Will, Trusts etc. On this occasion I required a deed of variation. This was completed quickly and efficiently from my first phone call to the office and completion of the document by Sarah Begley. She was easy to talk to but also professional.

Lucy Benning dealt with a re-write of our original wills that Martin Tolhurst first done over 40yrs ago. Naturally the price is far more than at that time, but we thought it better to go back to our original solicitors to carry this out. Lucy sat with us and got to the point of true reflection to our wishes. Thank you.

Having had a previous bad experience with Martin Tolhurst, we were reluctant to use them, but our Estate Agent selling our parents property through probate assured us that they had a great long working relationship with this solicitor, so against our better judgement we agreed to us them. The solicitor we were allocated at the start of the process made us realise why we had reservations about using Martin Tolhurst in the first place, we found ourselves constantly chasing her for information, we would leave telephone messages which she never returned and emails which she ignored until Friday just as she was leaving for the weekend which meant we could not contact her again until the Monday. Nearing the end of the conveyancing we were contacted by a different solicitor within the firm who informed us that the previous person had left that day and that she was now taking over, the new person was actually efficient in her duties and the sale completed without any issues. Because of our experience with the first solicitor we can not give Martin Tolhurst a great review and should we require a solicitor in the future we certainly would not choose Martin Tolhurst.
