Wouldn't recommend.

Far too long and constant lack of communication. Been over 2 years and My Mum has passed and case is still ongoing citing Court dates. No feedback or updates unless you query and then they charge for you chasing up your case.. Just want the process completed. Would not recommend. Sorry.

Non responsive team, damaged my position in proceedings.

I had an appalling experience with TVE which I will probably still fail to articulate for a while as it was so traumatising. The team failed to respond to emails, failed to provide advice, damaged my position in the most important proceedings of my life involving my disabled children, they moved multiple legal proceedings for staff holidays without advising me they had done so or taking my instructions on doing so, they failed to send crucial correspondence to the other side, they missed multiple legal deadlines due to staff holiday on multiple occasions. In the end I sacked them and as a result of their professional misconduct I ended up in hospital as their conduct made my illness in pregnancy a lot worse. The staff also regularly failed to give advice about other correspondence that was coming in in parallel to the proceedings and the Partner overseeing the case even told me off for chasing a up on my emails that had remained ignored for weeks. It made a significantly distressing situation much much worse. There were also times when I pushed back on the advice given to me by the solicitor and I had to be quite assertive to correct mistakes. As a result the Partner intervened a few times and changed the plan. I felt that I was doing the strategy and mental load on my own and just simply chasing the solicitor a lot, which for me in a highly stressful situation was unhelpful. Further I was refused services/responses for a variety of excuses such as staff being in court, staff being on holiday, not having legal aid funding. Which meant on one occasion I didn’t get substantive for two weeks during live proceedings and right before a deadline that TVE then missed. I was also refused meetings with my barrister as the firm said they wouldn’t pay for it out of legal aid. Even though my husband’s lawyers were doing this with legal aid. Just appalling I have no words to simply articulate how harmful and damaging the conduct of the regulated professionals at this firm has been, and even though I have instructed new solicitors due to the negligence of the TVE team I am still dealing with the fallout of the mistakes made by TVE.

I have recently had the pleasure of instructing Amanda on a complex child arrangement case following a finding of fact hearing with a previous solicitor. This is a particularly complex case with media involvement, which has added significant pressure and scrutiny. Although Amanda is relatively junior, she is absolutely incredible. The advice she provides, her response times, the way she keeps me informed, and her pragmatic approach to the issues in my case are simply exceptional. Amanda has successfully secured legal aid for me and ensured my barrister was fully briefed for my hearing today. She has gone the extra mile to meet my needs as an autistic client, demonstrating remarkable understanding and consideration. Storing a Will with the Executors

I made out a new Will after coming into an inheritance. My executors, two friends, were older than me and I'm 81, so I chose T V Edwards which my neighbor recommended as they had an office nearby. Eventually it all worked out but it took a lot of unanswered emails and phone calls, and I did not fully understand the information I was given initially. After they suggested adding some words to the paragraph appointing them as Executors I met up with an employee at their apparently unstaffed Battersea office. If they redrafted the whole Will in their style I would be charged £400 but as they had now reviewed it and suggested a change, which I had done, they could now store it at their Whitechapel offices for £200. The representative could not accept payment at the Battersea office so it was done by BACS. I am now happy that T V Edwards are my Executors. On reflection a personal visit to their Whitechapel office might have made the whole exercise much easier and avoided the confusion.

As a first time buyer I was both clueless and confused about the process of buying a home, both in terms of the law and in terms of practicalities too! Luke and his colleagues at TV Edwards were brilliant, responsive to all of my questions, knowledgeable about both property law and things like surveyor's reports, and always in my corner during what might have been an adversarial process of completing the purchase. We cannot recommend Rashid highly enough. Although we had a few troubles at the start of our house purchase, Rashid stepped in and completely turned the experience around for us. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish – incredibly efficient, proactive, and always on top of every detail.
