On behalf of the widow of Mr George Dowling and myself acting as Executor to George, I wish to extend grateful thanks to Stuart Latham of the Newcastle Asbestos team for his professional approach during the whole process of George’s claim for Mesothelioma. Stuart was compassionate, considerate and showed empathy to George’s family throughout, especially during visits which on occasions proved to be understandably upsetting. My Dad was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in the autumn of 2021. There was a Macmillan nurse in the consultation room when he was told that it was a terminal diagnosis. This was a huge shock for him as he had always been such a healthy man. We were given a pack to read through when we got home, and it contained a leaflet from Thompson's Solicitors, in Newcastle. We read through the literature and thankfully chose to give them a call to discuss my Dad's case. Joseph Dowey came to Dad's home to meet myself and my Dad and discuss the possibility of a claim against an employer who my Dad had worked for where he was exposed to asbestos. This was by no means a simple task, lots of questions were asked and answers taken through conversation with my Dad. He was 83 at the time and memories were sometimes difficult to recall. Joseph showed nothing but respect and spent lots of time chatting to my Dad. He took work history and statements from him and also as the case progressed took statements from myself and my Brother. It took a long time to gather all of the information together but Joseph kept me informed at every stage ensuring that we knew what was going on. My Dad sadly passed away in May 2022 and Joseph continued to deal with us until the recent conclusion of the case. He was naturally patient, compassionate and kept me at ease. I cannot recommend him highly enough and he is a credit to the Law firm he represents.

I can not rate Thompsons enough. They were kind, supportive and very professional. At a time when I needed support they were there every step of the way.
