I can barely put into words the gratitude I feel towards them as they worked tirelessly towards a hopeful acquittal (not guilty) verdict as I pleaded self defence. I say hopeful because there isn’t certainty of anything especially when going against an allegation as serious as ‘assault against a police officer’. Emma Turner gathered all the necessary evidence and kept me in the loop, kept in contact with the CPS and did everything she could have done to have the 3 year old case reviewed on my behalf. On the day of the trial at the crown court, Martin Hawkes came in ready and advocated for me with exceptional skill and professionalism. Martin knew every detail of my case, kept me fully informed throughout, and fought fearlessly for me in court. His cross-examination was crucial in my case and very sharp, powerful even. I felt genuinely supported during one of the most difficult times of my life. Thanks to their dedication, I achieved the right outcome, and I will always be grateful. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fergus has been advising me in a criminal investigation. He has been very professional, was very precise about deliverables and timing required and worked efficiently and effectively to achieve the outcome. He was available late at night and early in the morning when required. Overall an outstanding effort and achieved the outcome we hoped for.

From section 4 (AM)to GBH section 18, to GBH section 20 and then acquitted because of self defence was the journey I experienced. Thanks to Akhtar from ABV Solicitors who advised me clearly throughout the entire case and assured that he would do his best to assist me on my defence. This made me make the right decisions so I never gave up or took a plea deal, my case was very serious because of the charges against me. The prosecution was very assertive from the start and I thought there was no hope for me , until I went to trial and beat the case on a not guilty verdict in all counts. When dealing with my case Somsul was always approachable and provided me with clear and sensible advice. Somsul was tenacious when preparing my case and argued for the prosecution to drop the case. This is just to say. A huge thankyou personally to ROHEED HUSSAIN and MARTIN HAWKES and the team. I was charged with 3 offences back in 2023 that could and would have put me in prison. After their tenacity and patience, I finally had my trial 3 years later. Due to good team work and facts coming to light, I received a UNANIMOUS not guilty verdict after a 20 minute deliberation.. I can not thank them ALL enough. I would absolutely Recommend ABV for their diligence and patience. Thankyou all.

I honestly cannot thank Anwar enough for the support he gave me during one of the worst experiences of my life. I was falsely accused and, for the first time ever, taken into custody. It was terrifying and completely overwhelming, especially as I have never been involved in anything criminal before nor did i ever visit the police station in my life time. Anwar came in as my custody solicitor, guided me calmly through the entire process, and helped get me out. His reassurance and professionalism made a horrible situation much easier to handle. After that, I unfortunately instructed a different solicitor and paid a significant amount in fees, but they were completely unhelpful. I had travel restrictions and a ban in place, with pre-booked flights, and for three months I struggled while they kept saying the officers wouldn’t respond. Despite constantly chasing them, I got nowhere and eventually lost hope. I was even told I wouldn’t be able to fly. Just one day before my scheduled travel, I decided to call Anwar again. To my absolute surprise, by that same evening he had resolved the issue and I was cleared to travel. I immediately dropped my previous solicitors and asked Anwar to take over my case. Throughout everything, he has been reliable, supportive, and genuinely dedicated. I understand lawyers are busy and it can sometimes be difficult to get responses, but whenever something was urgent, Anwar was always available to talk, explain things clearly, and take action. I don’t usually write Google reviews, but Anwar truly deserves this recognition. He is an excellent solicitor and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs strong, dependable legal representation.
