I want to thank Zoe Hoskin from the bottom of my heart. It’s taken me some time to write this, as the entire ordeal took a huge emotional toll — but not a day goes by without me reflecting on how different things could have been without her. My son was accused of a very serious crime, one that, if he had been found guilty, would almost certainly have led to a prison sentence and the loss of everything he had worked for. The court martial took place in Bulford in April 2024. Thanks to Zoe and her colleague Angelo, who represented him with incredible skill, dedication, and humanity, my son was acquitted and given the chance to rebuild his life. Zoe was the very definition of professionalism — calm, methodical, and fully committed from the very beginning. She was always available, even when she was meant to be on holiday. She brought not only legal expertise but compassion and reassurance during the most difficult time of our lives. Today, my son is thriving. He’s buying his first home, has a strong career, and is soon to become a father. None of this would have been possible without Zoe’s outstanding work. Our family will never forget what she did for us. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you, Zoe — truly.

I found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time back in June 2024. However, my son managed to contact Tej Thakkar, Head of Regulatory, Senior Associate at Birkett Long, who took my case on without delay. Tej interviewed me the following afternoon whilst at the same time preparing a pre Police interview statement, this was refined between us to ensure it was accurate and was factual. Tej attended the police interview to support me and read out the statement to the two DC's, I was instructed by Tej, not to react to the Police Officers questions of about sixty in number, as my statement covered all the relevant facts as I had recalled [some nine A4, pages and 37 paragraphs long. After the interview, Tej had private words with the Police and he projected we would not have a decision, on the case. for the next six months although the Police quoted a wait of twelve months. In the end, Teg was correct and I received notice that they had dropped the investigation against me in October of last year. I can only thank Tej for all his work and understanding of my plight, along with his professional approach, good communication skills and genial attitude. I am of the opinion that I received the correct advice on the matter from Tej along with my effort of telling the truth in a straight manner, being brief and keeping to the facts. I also believe it was useful to write up my own notes a couple of hours after the incident, despite suffering from shock, this helped me to present an accurate assessment.

Martin represented me when dealing with unfounded allegations. He helped me navigate the implications of (what was to me) a complex and stressful case with sensitivity, clarity, patience and empathy. He helped me navigate and understand the options and approaches available to me, as I had no previous familiarity with criminal law. I appreciated the way he dealt with supporting witnesses with great sensitively. As a result, we secured a successful outcome, which was a great relief.

Did not provide me with the Defence Costs Order that was granted after my case was over. Do not recommend, especially for the price that they charge.
Jennifer Lewin is an outstanding knowledgeable and professional defence solicitor and comes across as a lovely caring lady too. JL represented my son, a young man who did have complex health issues in a complex defence case. She ensured my son had all the support and reasonable adjustments as and when needed throughout the case. I would recommend Jennifer highly, as a trusted legal defence professional who has links with head of chambers/barristers. Over the past year James has represented me in the settlement and distribution of my late father's estate. Contacted Knights today regarding Wills and Estate and was told somebody would call me back and they didn’t. Also spoke with Devika about acting on our behalf regarding property. Gave her addresses of both properties amongst other details so would have hoped to have received quote today. This didn’t happen, I got one email asking for address of property to buy even though this was given and then another email later in the day asking for address of property we have to sell. I am dumbfounded at how poor the service is so far so after looking at reviews below, safe to say we will not be proceeding with Knights if service is so bad before we’ve even started. This is what happens when private equity companies buy up businesses and start stripping it of anything that is quality and it’s all about profits. Poor service and calibre of staff.
Excellent service from start to finish
My mother recently passed away and IBB (now Knights) were holding her papers, I started the request a month ago and I am still waiting for them to locate the papers. I keep being told “we cannot locate the papers currently as the archives have moved and nobody knows the new system”, blah blah, I am starting to think “can’t locate” equates to LOST! Shocking…
I used IBB LAW for a recent court case. I had Jennifer Lewin as my solicitor. She was brilliant, gave very good advice and was very reassuring. I will definitely use IBB again and again. Thank you IBB law.
