I rang them to discuss a medical negligence case. They spent two 45 minute calls convincing me to do a personal injury claim against another party. They funneled me into this and got all the information off me. They gave no forms through the post to say they took any case on. After over a year i emailed the lawyer and he simply said he would look at my case file. He then emailed me saying he couldn't take the case on. I am reporting him to the SRA. From other reviews it is clear this company is wasting people's time deliberately. Authorities need to stop them operating and the lawyers need to be made to stop practicing law and get jobs they can do like frying chips or flipping burgers. Even toilet cleaning. One things for sure they aren't professional nor do they care about clients and think its their job to lead people on and then after years saying they can't help. I was literally begged to let them take my case on as a personal injury case! Be warned stay away. I was never even told of any costs or possible amount i would get. It was a total sham.

My father in law was diagnosed with mesothelioma and we chose Thompsons solicitors to take on our case. We were fortunate to have Gill Connelly from the Newcastle Asbestos Team to deal with it. Gill was absolutely amazing she is professional, friendly, attentive, caring, understanding and a pleasure to deal with.

Our claim was dealt with by Joseph Dowey of the Newcastle Asbestos Team. I can highly recommend Thompsons solicitors, who professionally and empathetically dealt with an asbestos claim following my husband Bob's diagnosis with mesothelioma in April 2024. We met Joseph, at our home, a number of times throughout the claim. He initially ascertained a detailed working history and sensitively questioned Bob to pull together his recollections of his exposure to asbestos. He instructed a medical expert and went on to organise a discussion between ourselves and a care expert, and later on a Teams meeting to meet the barrister. Joseph was extremely efficient and explained the legal processes clearly, in person and in writing. Above all, Joseph showed compassion and sensitivity to both Bob and myself. He always demonstrated a knowledgeable, personable and approachable manner. Although we were meeting in very difficult circumstances, we both thought very highly of Joseph and always looked forward to meeting with him. Bob sadly died in April 2025, and Joseph continued to work with me until we successfully settled the claim in June 2026, a few days prior to the planned court hearing.

I was severely assaulted when teaching at a Young Offenders' Institution. I had, literally, been knocked for a six...and some. Afterwards, I felt vulnerable and traumatised, hardly in a fit state so seek some sort of compensation for my ordeal.
