I initially had a different solicitor assigned to my Employment Law case. After a few months, I was notified that my case had been assigned to Abdul. I was a little worried about this change but in high insight, I absolutely appreciated this changed. Abdul was very approachable, professional and very knowledgeable. He communicated with me in a very timely manner. He gave comprehensive information on possibilities but waited for direction. Abdul explained things in an understandable way without using legal jargon so it was easier to make informed decisions. Abdul had a lot of patience with me as I asked numerous questions. I cannot recommend Abdul highly enough. He worked incredibly my case and played a key role in helping me win against my former employer, who had been extremely unprofessional. I am incredibly grateful to Abdul Basith for taking on my employment case. At one point, I was ready to withdraw my application entirely, but Abdul encouraged me to stay strong and continue fighting. I was sent to Thompsons Solicitors from my union, Unite, after issues at work resulted in me being reported to the regulatory body for my profession. Throughout the process I mainly communicated with Grace, a paralegal (now trainee solicitor), with occasional calls/meetings with Harjinder, the solicitor in charge of my case. There was always a quick response from Grace or an alternative person I could contact if she was not available. They answered all my millions of questions and really supported me through the whole process. The barrister they instructed on my behalf was fantastic too and, between Thompsons helping me with all the paperwork and preparatory side of things and the barrister they instructed for me, the outcome came out in my favour. Thompsons were really supportive all the way through and I can’t thank them enough for all their help and support. The process was very drawn out due to issues with the other side of the case but Thompsons were really helpful and kept me informed on what I needed to do and when so that I was prepared.
