Obstacles and delays occurred purely due to a lay back approach by the solicitor/ conveyancer in charge- unacceptable inefficiency

Complete incompetence! Absolutely awful awful awful they ruin lives and don't care. 1 star is giving them a generous score. They deserve -1 million stars. If you want your life turned upside down just let these people handle your house sale. RUN WHILE YOU CAN! Literally no knowledge of the processes involved in selling a house... sheer INCOMPETENCE.

I used T/E as a first time buyer a few years ago, having fairly randomly picked them off a list given to me by my lender because I was in a rush to proceed. There were lots of delays, but I assumed this was par for the course for solicitors. In the interests of speed and convenience, I chose to use them again when remortgaging. I waited over a week to get a reply to my email enquiry, then later when I had done lots of ground work with the rest of the process I naively asked if they could proceed. Fortunately, when I later discovered that I could get better service and value elsewhere, they had barely even acknowledged my case so it was easy to drop them and instruct a proper firm of solicitors. If you want to be overcharged by a group of disinterested people to add weeks to your property purchase, use Taylor Emmet.

Poor communication, solicitor was often absent or late to reply to the email chain for my house sale, would often ask the estate agent for updates (who often left her out of emails so it was no surprise she wasn't up to speed).

Had an ongoing enquiry between Taylor Emmet and my solicitor backdating a good few months. Emails get ignored from the solicitor and also from Omnia Group. No one can tell me who’s dealing with it or why it isn’t getting looked into. Awful service and at the risk of losing out on the sale of my property because of this.

Waste of time, don’t bother using this solicitors. Locum solicitor covering maternity leave assigned to my buyers sale, who has been ignoring phone calls and emails and delayed this case for several weeks. He has been out of office for two weeks further delaying the case, but never made my solicitor aware of this. We have been waiting nearly 3 weeks for enquiries to be reviewed and completed to agree exchange and completion date. Solicitor has been promising to have this completed by x date, and doesn’t. Will be pulling out of my sale and purchase on Friday due to the incompetence of these solicitors. Solicitor has been made aware but still no concern on their end. Don’t bother using them

I would highly recommend Taylor Emmet ( Dronfield and Derbyshire) for their professionalism , combined with care and consideration as they conducted and completed the sale of my mother's estate.

I feel that my experience with this company was not good. My initial instructions were to make an enquiry about my relative's Will, and instead of this, the letter sent by Taylor and Emmet requested a large amount of money immediately. This resulted in a hostile reaction, where I was humiliated by my relative's Attorney. After several months, I was told by my Solicitor that "It's all over", with no real explanation for the abrupt ending. Additionally, a box of personal details my Solicitor took away, and promised to return, were never sent back. All in all, a very disappointing and upsetting time for myself and my family.
