My Dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma due to asbestos June last year 2025, after the shock the doctor who was treating my dad told us to contact one of the specialists solicitors and handed us a leaflet with 5 companies that dealt with this case. After looking through I decided to go with Thompsons solicitors and after the initial contact we had an appointment with Stuart Latham, Stuart came to visit my dad at his home address and totally put myself brother and foremost my Dad at ease, it’s such a delicate situation to deal with but Stuart’s calm and very professional nature made the whole process very simple and easy, he kept in contact with my dad every step of the way and each visit he came to my dads house so my dad was comfortable in his own home. My Dad received a settlement offer may 2026 this year and would highly recommend Stuart at Thompson law firm. When my Dad got diagnosed with mesothelioma his world was torn apart! He was then introduced to Stuart Latham of the Newcastle Asbestos Team who explained everything regards his rights to make a claim against his occupation where he worked as a joiner working with asbestos in the 1970s. Stuart helped Dad understand his claim and made him feel at ease taking away all the stress during the claim allowing dad to concentrate on his health. Stuart was professional, so polite and friendly and he put dad at the forefront of everything, listening to his wishes and respecting them. We were kept informed on the progress of the claim by Stuart himself which gave a personal approach and an approach that my dad really appreciated.
