Excellent Service

Cannot recommend Nicola and Lindsey enough. Nicola was so helpful throughout the process, even though it got off to a very slow start on the sellers side which was frustrating for us all! Lindsey picked up our case in the last few weeks of the sale and kept us in the loop when things were progressing. Both were so friendly and approachable, and very responsive to emails/phone calls. 100% will use again whenever we move next!

Exceptional Service & Support from our Solicitor - Samantha Marandi

Samantha Marandi was our solicitor for the selling and purchase of our new property. Right throughout Samantha would keep me updated and would respond immediately with any concerns we had. We had an exceptional case were there were issues with the solicitor at the bottom of the chain which nearly caused our chain to collapse, however if it wasn’t for Samantha going above and beyond to get these issues resolved I believe the whole chain would have collapsed. If you want an exceptional solicitor that also truly cares about her clients welfare I would highly recommend Samantha. Thank you for helping and supporting us through this stressful time.

Would strongly recommend

HCB Solicitors at Westhoughton are worth recommending. We had all the stress taken out of the selling of our house and the purchase of our apartment.
We had constant contact from them as things progressed.
We were made to feel valuable customers and could ask any questions without feeling awkward.
Mr Raja Khan personally rang us with updates and his assistant Robyn kept us informed throughout via e-mail and phone.

Efficient and understanding

I was supported after the death of my Mother during probate and then to sell mum's property. Both Emma and Jayne took the time to answer my questions and guide me through the process. Thank you, for your understanding and for being so efficient.

Poor advice

I used this firm in September 2017 for my claim against the University of Cambridge. The solicitor Laura Carr provided me with extremely poor service. She failed to advice me how to access free of charge legal services in the UK. She told me that she does not know how to fund claims in the UK and that I should not be doing any claims as they cost a lot of money. I am shocked with her bad advice. Laura Carr failed to informed me about the Legal Aid that I was eligible for and she did not know that many claims including psychiatric injury claims that I asked for are done under 'no win, no fee' arrangements. I am shocked how poorly this woman is advising. Instead of helping me to find legal assistance free of charge that I was entitled to, she issued me quotes for over 3000 pounds to assist me with wasting my time making complaints including OIA. For 3000 pound, a preaction letter is done that activates University insurers to get compensation that I was entitled to get. This solicitor gave me wrong legal advice that caused me a lot of damages. I told her to instruct psychiatric injury report and she failed to do it. She instead asked for 3000 pounds to assist me with complaints that never generate any compensation. I instructed this woman to give me information on how to claim compensation for damages and for this, one needs to issue preaction letters that activate University insurers. She instead said I should do only complaints that never generate compensation and 4 years of personal injury claims cannot be addressed via complaint process. I had discrimination claims that are funded fully by Legal Aid and I missed this opportunity because this firm failed to give me necessary information. They wasted my time and took money and offered legal advice. They even do not know that Legal Aid exists and that there is 'no win, no fee' to do personal injury claims! Absolutely bad service provider.

Review for Samantha Marandi

Having dealt with Sam for the past 12 months with problems with our home ! We finally moved on Friday and she has supported me all through this process. Which was the most stressful experience of my life. She is professional in every aspect of her conveyancing but also a very caring nature to support you in this process. Which is sometimes hard to find in a solicitor these days. I would highly recommend Sam for anyone buying and selling a property
Thank you from the bottom of my heart Sam and I wish you good luck in your future xx
