I would absolutely recommend this solicitor, he handled my case with professionalism, allowed me to call however many times for updates. 5 stars all around. He moved extremely quick due to the urgency of my case and put in the extra work just to make sure I was accommodated to.

We would like to express a great thank you to Megan at Axis Solicitors. Right from the beginning she was professional, attentive and considerate. Even when we asked a lot of questions due to our own doubt she reassured us with great simple clear and easy to understand communication without all the confusing legal lingo to keep us at ease. I would not recommend anyone else to those that need help with spouse/family matters. Her work does not need a review as evidence but if anyone is not sure then remember she got our spouse & dependant matter successfully completed with a record breaking 30 day response from the Home Office. Extremely disappointing experience — £180 wasted I paid £180 for a consultation because I expected professional legal advice, informed guidance and clear answers to the questions I had. Unfortunately, the service I received fell well short of what I expected for that amount of money. During the consultation, I asked several straightforward questions, and on more than one occasion the answers appeared to involve searching Google in front of me. I found this incredibly disappointing and, quite frankly, difficult to justify when I had already paid £180 for professional legal advice. I completely understand that a solicitor may need to check specific legislation or guidance when dealing with a complicated matter. However, there is a big difference between carefully checking a legal point and appearing to search Google for basic answers to questions being asked during a paid consultation. The whole point of paying for a solicitor is to benefit from their professional knowledge, experience and ability to explain the law clearly. If I am essentially watching someone search the internet for answers that I could have searched for myself, I have to question what value I actually received from the £180 consultation. I left feeling that I had wasted both my time and my money. £180 is not a small amount to pay, and I expected considerably more from a professional legal service. Based purely on my personal experience, I would not recommend this service. If you are considering paying for a consultation, I would strongly suggest asking beforehand exactly what you are paying for and what level of advice you can expect to receive. For me, the experience was extremely disappointing and did not feel like good value for £180.

That said, we do need to clarify that the advice provided was correct and was based specifically on the circumstances and information you gave us at the time. We completely understand that it may not have been the answer you were hoping for; unfortunately, we don’t get to choose the rules simply because they’re not the answer someone wants to hear! The rules are there for a reason, and our role is to provide honest, accurate advice based on the law, rather than tell clients what they would like to hear. Sometimes the right legal advice is also the least welcome advice we appreciate that isn’t always easy to hear.
