I used Askews to sell my house and it was not worth the money I paid. First problem was my case handler left the business and my case was not worked on for nearly 2 weeks, I had to chase them to sort this issue. My new case handler Jane Ball was good once I was assigned to her however she did not answer the phone to me once. Everything had to be done via email. Stephen her assistant was very good though. I was charged £210 for every new person they had to speak to, which is an absolute rip off but it’s how they are making their money after sending you a cheap quote. I paid £210 for them to send around 7 emails to another solicitors. I would NOT recommend using Askews

I contacted Askews as we were considering reviewing our Wills and I was aware that they had an association with the charity MIND offering simple Wills at a fixed fee also they make a donation to the charity for each Will written by them Making an appointment was easy I made an enquiry and received a call back fromStephanie Napier. At our initial meeting everything was explained and our requirements discussed in an easily understandable manner, we received our draft Wills and had a further appointment to confirm everything Efficient and all at a fair cost. I personally would not take the risk of reviewing our Wills without legal advice from a professional

I am a Ninety year old bloke, married to an Eighty Eight year old.....her name is AUDREY and mine BRIAN. We have been married for almost 70 years and lived in our house for all of that time. I mention this fact because getting towards the end of our wonderful life the need to 'balance our books' is nigh..... We needed to do something that we had done only once in our lives........get hold of a legal advisor...........and thanks to a member of our very large family we ended up with ASKEWS. Now, I had never heard of them so we had to act upon the advice of those who know !........SOooooo How did it go??......Well we ended up with STEPHANIE NAPIER and 'Lady Luck' was on our side !!! She was a normal chatty lady. Wifey Audrey was so pleased, she had anticipated trying to converse with a Toff! but Stephanie was normal and spoke the same language as us......So as you would expect, everything went smoothly in our quest to get new wills and a Lasting Power of Attorney.....We are SO grateful for the manner in which our business was conducted and we now feel that what we thought was going to be a problem area turned out to be a 'stroll in the park' !!!!.....THANK YOU STEPHANIE we thought we were negotiating with a friend !! Just one further point, on your web page you suggest that adverse comments regarding your meetings should be mentioned so......For the sake of all of us disabled who wish to deal with ASKEWS I say..."CHANGE YOUR ENTRANCE" nothing to hold on to !!!!!!!!! It is difficult choosing a solicitor with all the choice out there - I chose Lianne Payne at Askews Legal because of the positive reviews and valued recommendations and I was not disappointed. Lianne was brilliant, understanding and switched on. She was very thorough, fair and transparent in fighting my case, saving my reputation and establishing justice for which I will always be grateful. Everything was dealt with quickly and professionally but with a personal touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use Askews Legal again - very glad I picked them.
