Although I find it difficult to understand why Lyons Bowe have different people doing each part of the process, Katarina played her part very well. She is a good communicator and sends you updates in a manner that is easy to understand. We have done the bulk of our transaction in around a calander Month which is very good indeed. She did a great job and we thank her for her efforts.

I've found all of the team at Lyons Bowe to be responsive and effective, working hard towards our goals. Everybody was prompt at answering emails and answering questions so that I could keep ahead of what was needed next. It was clear from our occasional phone calls that we were on the same page. Right towards the end, they managed to execute a very quick exchange and completion, saving the whole chain a lot of time and money. I also felt the pricing was very fair and clear. Used Lyons Bowe for a previous sale. The process was seamless. This time a bit less so. The initial guy got the stamp duty calculation wrong. Used English stamp duty rates when I told him Wales was different. He wouldn’t believe me. He was soon gone. Replaced by someone who left without notice after 4 weeks. . Poor Alisha had to take over our case. She was brilliant and very tolerant of a truly awful solicitor acting for our buyers. My advice is never judge your appointed solicitor on slow responses. Turned out our buyer’s solicitor was so slow at responding to every point and made Alisha look slow. Thank you Lyons Bowe.

We appointed Lyons Bowe for the sale of our property, even though they are not local to us. I've been really impressed so far. The app is great once you get used to it. It enabled me to fill in all the house sale info and scan in my documents using my phone. We've not had to visit an office at all so far as signatures have been written electronically. Prerana, the legal assistant assigned to our sale, has been brilliant. Very efficient, responsive, proactive and quick to get things moving. We're now moving on to the legal team for the next stage so hopefully our experience will continue to be excellent.

Currently in the process of trying to buy our first home. Here's how the process has gone so far. Estate agent recommends Lyons Bowe. My wife is the one actually purchasing the property I might add. Just so when Lyons Bowe see this, they don't refute the experience. With that context established, she also works late shifts and doesn't have access to her phone. In light of that information, she requested that I be the point of contact, as her husband, as I'm self employed I can deal with enquiries far more easily. We were onboarded by a Lewis Bray, (who actually requested a review) and not without the assistance of a Layla. Whom I spoke to and haven't heard from since. This process was pleasant, warm and friendly. We've now been 'handed' over - a process that wasn't explained or consented. Handed over to another person, some 6 weeks into the process. A process we have absolutely no timeline or basis for understanding the length of the entire process. Despite asking for even a vague estimate on multiple occasions. Lewis actually ignored both mine and my wife's last emails. (Prior to handover) We are now in no mans land. I spoke to the estate agent, who said this is the worst experience they've had with Lyons Bowe to date. Being our first home purchase. I have little basis for comparison. Upon reviewing documents that took over a month to arrive, I still have no idea how much the entire process is likely to set us back financially. Caveated multiple times in the new documents are various prices - an additional £150 here and there. Despite insisting that the original quote was a worst case scenario price. Some £2700 or thereabouts. An increase of £700 over a previously quoted solicitor that unfortunately didn't deal with leasehold anymore. I can't say I blame them given our experience thus far. The whole process to date has made us want to continue renting and never buy a house / flat. Process start date 14/04/2026 and it's now June 3rd. With no end in sight. No estimate time frame and my estate agent has just informed me that the solicitor has also failed to communicate with the vendor's solicitor on multiple occasions, despite multiple requests. I'm somehow supposed to believe that the contract I / we enter into has some legal legitimacy and secures us from potential issues. I can say with absolute confidence, that I have no confidence at all in this law firm. Incompetence, complacency, take your pick. They seem to be resting on the laurels of the simple fact that conveyance gets locked into mortgage applications. Apathy is rife. Avoid at all costs. Wish us luck.
