Complex conveyancing? No problem….
We commissioned Jenny Page the Licensed Conveyancer at Elite Law solicitors in Hitchin to assist in resolving an unexpected serious problem with our original solicitors in securing the first voluntary registration at the Land Registry (HMLR) of our home.
In the midst of administering our submission, our original solicitors’ practice was closed following an intervention by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Despite vigorous enquiries, we were subsequently unable to locate the original documents proving the ownership of our house that we had lodged with our original solicitors in support of our application. To complicate matters further, HMLR issued a series of requisitions about our application that could only be answered by direct reference to our original documentation.
Jenny immediately understood the problem and with cool and calm efficiency embarked with us on a recovery programme involving carefully considered contacts with the SRA over our missing documents and HMLR over securing additional time for their requisitions to be addressed. After several months of patient enquiry, we succeeded in finding and securing the return of our documents and Jenny was able to resubmit our application to the HMLR and to secure a prompt and successful registration.
Throughout, Jenny was kind, thoughtful and thoroughly professional. Her handling of this complex issue was exemplary and her calm and considered manner was throughout a source of much comfort to us.
