About this score
This rating is based on verified client feedback and compares how this firm’s value for money is perceived against the national average. In legal services, value for money is not about being the cheapest option, but about whether clients feel the service, expertise, and outcome justified the cost. This comparison helps place client experiences in context when choosing a law firm.

About this score
This rating is based on client feedback and compares how satisfied people were with the result of their legal matter against the national average for similar legal services. While every case is different and outcomes can depend on the law, the facts, and decisions made by courts or tribunals, this comparison is designed to be like for like.
When a firm has a large number of reviews, individual case differences tend to balance out over time. This makes the national average a useful benchmark for understanding how often clients feel the result achieved was fair and appropriate for their situation. Even small differences from the average can therefore reflect a meaningful difference in the overall standard of legal service provided.

I have just sold my house and purchased another property and everything was handled brilliantly by Alicia and her team (Lauren, Danielle and Danny) A few challenges were overcome due to Alicia’s tenacity and always having my best interests at heart. I can’t recommend her highly enough for that. I’m very excited at getting my keys this afternoon so thank you Alicia

Clear, reliable quotation of fees. The conveyancer (Phoebe Phillips) kept us updated, was prompt to respond to both email and telephone enquiries and was professional in all respects. Only encountered a lapse in communication during exchange and completion when Phoebe was on leave and others were covering her work. Would recommend to others.

From early contact, through to the final exchange and completion we have nothing but praise for the conveyancing team of Cathy and Becky at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors. The process was slowed due to lack of professionalism on behalf of another solicitor. Cathy and Becky kept us informed and pushed our buyer and his solicitor to the point of officially complaining, whereby exchange and completion took place in 48 hrs. Great service and thoroughly recommended. Additionally I would think twice of selecting conveyancers a great distance away. We had documents that were received, printed and hand delivered back in 2 hours.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! It was a pleasure to act for you on your matter. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. Thank you again. Martin Tolhurst Solicitors Online Team

Gemma Nie at Martin Tolhurst handled our recent property purchase brilliantly. She was professional, thorough and always quick to respond. She explained complex legal matters clearly and caught important details in the paperwork that needed addressing. Despite some challenges during the transaction, she kept things moving and brought it to a successful completion. Highly recommended for anyone needing a conveyancing solicitor.

I am so glad that Martin Tolhurst dealt with my dear departed uncle's house sale, it was quite a complicated situation, but MT was so helpful in every aspect of the dealings under my remit. A huge thank you to Cathy Price and Rebecca Aris, you advised me all the way and answered my questions immediately . This made the process as smooth as I could have wished for. I will certainly use MT in the future as I have the utmost trust and respect in their ability. Thank you both for all your help.
