I have recently used Rothera-Bray for my house purchase and sale, and for a financial dispute with my ex partner. They were excellent and reasonably priced on both counts. I was given good advice, they always returned my calls, and on many occasion I was put straight through to my solicitor. I would definitely recommend them, and will soon be using them to write my will.

The law firm Rothera Bray was my husband solicitor for divorce and finances, I truly see the reason why this company is one of the best in the Nottingham. I am very grateful to the Rebecca Hudson as not been my solicitor she still assisted me even so I was self representing and she was very understanding and trying to explain to me slowly, become I am not British and fully she understand my accent and give me chance . I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, they made what could have been a very stressful house sale and purchase feel much easier to manage. Ellie was fantastic throughout the whole process. She was always helpful, responsive and kept us updated at every stage, even when things became a little complicated and stressful towards completion. She took the time to explain things clearly, answered all of our questions and made sure everything was dealt with properly.

AVOID THIS FIRM! While I note lots of seemingly growing praise of this firm our experience of using Rothera Bray for conveyancing has been absolutely abysmal. They submitted an application to the Land Registry for us to complete on our property and failed to provide all of the necessary information on the application. LR emailed 11 months later informing them of the incomplete application and requested the outstanding information. It took Rothera Bray 3 months just to tell us that there was an issue with the application. We had to get separate specialist Tax advice prior to the application, RB failed to forward the advice with the application. We had to go back to the Tax advisors to get more information explaining all the rationale as to why no stamp duty was due. Many weeks later after being provided with all of the information they requested RB have still not completed the application. We get excuses like so and so has been on maternity leave and then someone is going on annual leave. No one actually takes responsibility for doing any work. It takes around 3 to 4 weeks of chasing to get any kind of response out of them. It seems that customers are an apparent distraction to whatever else they have going in on their lives. Extremely unhappy with the organisation and would not advise anyone to appoint them.
We had a really positive experience with Sally Simpson at Rothera Bray while buying our new house. She was great throughout the whole process - quick to respond, professional, made everything really straightforward. We felt listened to and kept in clear communication at all times, which really made the whole process feel stress-free. Highly recommended
