Very efficient and friendly service. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
If you are looking at anything to do with the purchase or sale of a property and a lease is involved avoid at all costs. I went to sell my apartment only to find that Seatons hand not registered the property and only provided me with a draft lease, I lost two cash buyers and nine months of my life. Many other issues accumulated in to more time lost and thousands of pounds in costs.

I am very thankful for Seatons Solicitors' services and especially to Gemma McKimmie and secretaries regarding the checking and arrangement of buying a house for us. At the beginning I was a little confused but by the end everything was clear. I will definitely recommend you to my friends and relatives.

We recently used Seatons for the purchase of a holiday rental property. We experienced poor communication, errors, lack of empathy in prioritising work in urgent situations and the general attitude we received from employees. We were fully aware of the current stamp duty deadline, which didn’t affect us, but this excuse was used on more than one occasion as a reason for their lengthy response time. Plus we were told by a certain staff member to “appreciate that we wouldn’t want other clients to lose out on thousands of pounds if we were affected by the stamp duty holiday”….yet we too were facing the potential loss of £’s in relation to the matter we asked them to look into for us after the property purchase had completed. Thankfully Adrian was much more helpful. He reviewed our file and within half an hour was able to advise and assist us from a legal point of view. Just a shame that certain people who work in the Conveyancing Team couldn’t have the same attitude with regards to customer service!!
We recently purchased our first home through Seaton’s, and although it was a long process, this was through no fault of Seaton’s. Other organisations caused a delay getting the correct paperwork and the fact we were in a chain. We had Gemma dealing with our purchase, and she was absolutely fantastic throughout. No matter how many emails I sent over the process, Gemma always responded promptly and kept me regularly updated, which made such a stressful process feel much easier. We really appreciated her communication, patience and support throughout the whole purchase.
We used Seatons for the purchase and sale of our property. From the very first days, it became clear that communication was going to be a challenge. Emails were left unanswered for several days at a time sometimes weeks, and often when they were responded to, they didn’t actually address the original question. When we tried to phone, we were repeatedly told that our solicitor couldn’t take our calls. The emails and correspondence we did receive frequently used terminology that, to anyone outside the legal system, made little sense, with no explanations offered. Countless mistakes were made that we had to correct ourselves, and we ended up having to undertake tasks that should have been handled by our solicitor. This continued right up until the moment of exchange, where even our house sale price was incorrectly quoted — something we had already had to correct several times before. I’ve given three stars because, once we did manage to get hold of our solicitor, she was mostly friendly and polite. Otherwise, a 1.5–2 star review would have been more appropriate.
We used Seatons after a recommendation from our mortgage broker, Hockridge Mortgages (who I would also highly recommend). Initially, following completing our onboarding paperwork, I sent a couple of emails and received an auto reply that essentially says if you try to chase up a reply you’ll delay it longer, which did make us a bit nervous about what to expect. However, once we got a bit further into the process (searches and onwards) replies were speedy, we could always get in touch with our solicitor when needed, if she didn’t need to reply personally we still received a reply from one of the legal assistants, and despite our worries about having to chase up replies, this wasn’t the case. Often, we had replies back within an hour or two, especially at the end. There was a lot of back and forth and some issues with our sellers onward purchase, exchange was delayed by over a week, but thanks to Gemma and team we managed to exchange and complete as originally planned. Having had a terrible experience elsewhere for a different property, we were both very pleased with the service from Seatons, and would 100% use if needed in the future.

I was recommended to use Seatons for my house purchase after a year of delays on my sale as well as a failed purchase with another solicitor and I honestly couldn't recommend them enough as their service was truly amazing! Siobhan and Claire were always there to answer any questions I had making the whole process feel more personal and they also managed to complete it in record time too. I'll be using them for any future moves and will be recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you!

I have recently used Seatons Solicitors for my divorce. I can highly recommend Seatons. My case was dealt with by Ms Chan along with Michelle Heaton. I felt listened to and they did exactly as was asked at my initial meeting. They kept me informed through the whole process. Very pleased with the work.

Excellent service with a friendly Solicitor

Generally I was happy with the advice and support provided. I was disappointed that the solicitor first appointed left the practice midway through the services being provided and did not advise me this would occur. The replacement solicitor did a good job completing the services being provided.
