Generally I was happy with the advice and support provided. I was disappointed that the solicitor first appointed left the practice midway through the services being provided and did not advise me this would occur. The replacement solicitor did a good job completing the services being provided.

We used Seatons solicitors recently for a will and been very satisfied about the services. Many thanks to James Cassidy for the professional job he did.
We used Seatons for the purchase and sale of our property. From the very first days, it became clear that communication was going to be a challenge. Emails were left unanswered for several days at a time sometimes weeks, and often when they were responded to, they didn’t actually address the original question. When we tried to phone, we were repeatedly told that our solicitor couldn’t take our calls. The emails and correspondence we did receive frequently used terminology that, to anyone outside the legal system, made little sense, with no explanations offered. Countless mistakes were made that we had to correct ourselves, and we ended up having to undertake tasks that should have been handled by our solicitor. This continued right up until the moment of exchange, where even our house sale price was incorrectly quoted — something we had already had to correct several times before. I’ve given three stars because, once we did manage to get hold of our solicitor, she was mostly friendly and polite. Otherwise, a 1.5–2 star review would have been more appropriate.
Dear Mr Jones, Thank you for your review. Having spoken to the solicitor who dealt with your sale and purchase we acknowledge that there were delays within your transactions. However, I understand that one of the reasons was a missing building regulations certificate in relation to your sale which your previous solicitor and original developer, this then meant you had to contact the local Council for a resolution and I note the the solicitor also became involved to expedite the matter. The other delays were due to the rest of the chain not being ready to complete for a significant amount of time, despite us chasing for updates regularly but also keeping you updated so you were aware of our efforts to expedite the sale and purchase. The sale price came directly from the Estate Agent you were referred to us by who quoted the incorrect price and the solicitor apologised for this error at the time. Completion statements are always send to clients in "draft" format with a disclaimer for simultaneous sales and purchases because lenders deduct fund-release fees and final figures often change due to service charge and ground rent apportionments. We are very grateful to you for acknowledging that the solicitor in your case remained friendly and polite throughout and we are sorry you feel that you did not receive the service you expected.
We used Seatons after a recommendation from our mortgage broker, Hockridge Mortgages (who I would also highly recommend). Initially, following completing our onboarding paperwork, I sent a couple of emails and received an auto reply that essentially says if you try to chase up a reply you’ll delay it longer, which did make us a bit nervous about what to expect. However, once we got a bit further into the process (searches and onwards) replies were speedy, we could always get in touch with our solicitor when needed, if she didn’t need to reply personally we still received a reply from one of the legal assistants, and despite our worries about having to chase up replies, this wasn’t the case. Often, we had replies back within an hour or two, especially at the end. There was a lot of back and forth and some issues with our sellers onward purchase, exchange was delayed by over a week, but thanks to Gemma and team we managed to exchange and complete as originally planned. Having had a terrible experience elsewhere for a different property, we were both very pleased with the service from Seatons, and would 100% use if needed in the future.

Unfortunately I was uable to use Seatons for my problem but I have to say the lady covering on the telephone was so very helpful..I would definitely seek their services if I had a need do...it is the little things the inform the big..really appreciative for the time and information..
