Handling Tier 2 Visa Applications and Appeals means assisting sponsored workers to obtain a Skilled Worker visa (formerly Tier 2) and advising after refusals. A solicitor reviews the employer’s sponsorship, certificate of sponsorship, eligibility, English language, and maintenance requirements; drafts and submits the online application to UK Visas and Immigration; collects supporting documents; responds to Home Office requests for information; and represents clients in appeals or administrative reviews when a visa is refused.
What a solicitor handles in these matters
The solicitor handles the sponsor license details, the certificate of sponsorship, evidence of earnings and maintenance, English language proof, and any required disclosures. They manage deadlines, liaise with employers and applicants, prepare representations for Home Office cases, and, if needed, represent the client in immigration appeals or reviews before tribunals to challenge refusals or administrative decisions.
