Laura is an absolute asset to Sydney Mitchell and we cannot thank her enough for everything she did throughout the sale and purchase of our new home. Unfortunately, the process became incredibly stressful due to the solicitors acting for the sellers. There were numerous issues and delays, and on more than one occasion it felt as though Laura was not only having to do her own job, but also pick up the pieces and chase things that should have been dealt with by the other side. Throughout it all, Laura was absolutely fantastic. She kept us updated every step of the way, was always incredibly helpful and reassuring, and even replied to us outside of her normal working hours when we were feeling particularly stressed. She genuinely went above and beyond to make what could have been an even more difficult experience as smooth as possible. Buying and selling a home is stressful enough without having to deal with problems caused by the other side, but having Laura in our corner made such a difference. She was professional, approachable, patient and a genuine pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We honestly couldn’t recommend Laura highly enough. She is a credit to Sydney Mitchell, and if we ever decide to put ourselves through the madness of buying another house again , we would have absolutely no hesitation in using her. Last March 2026 I had an appt with Sydney Mitchell LLP to discuss the start of a Grant of Probate application. I met Charlotte and Kevin at this appt. Kevin took down a whole lot of notes but did not talk very much. Following this appt we were subsequently advised that an Inheritance Tax IHT400 application would also need to be submitted for father's estate. There was a lot of information about the estate, most notably the financial side. Kevin interpreted the figures and information we presented accurately and then in turn entered the figures into the IHT400 and GoP forms. Both applications were approved by HMRC well within the approval timeframes. My dealings with Kevin were straightforward. Whenever there were any questions about this whole bureaucracy process and I would telephone Kevin, he would quite elaborately explain what was happening and advise what I should do. The information was always clear to understand and easy to follow. Thank you Kevin.

I honestly cannot recommend Gemma highly enough. I first instructed Gemma at what was an incredibly difficult and uncertain time in my life, and she has supported me throughout what turned into a long and, at times, extremely stressful divorce and financial settlement. From the very beginning, I felt that I was in safe hands. She was always knowledgeable, pragmatic and honest in her advice, while also being incredibly understanding and supportive when things became difficult. What makes my experience with Gemma even more unusual is that, despite her knowing so much about what has happened over the last year and a bit, we have never actually met! I have finally received my settlement and can now properly move forward with the next chapter of my life. I am incredibly grateful to Gemma for helping me get to this point. Her professionalism, patience, knowledge and genuine care have made such a difference to me, and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her to anyone who finds themselves needing legal support through what can be an incredibly daunting process.
