    Very professional service.

    Myself and my wife recently had to re write our wills following the sudden and unexpected death of one of our sons. This was to ensure my daughter in law and grandchildren were not left out in our wills. It was a difficult time for us but we were dealt with in a very understanding and compassionate way.

    Dissapointment

    I feel very let down by Battens. I have never known anyone work so slowly. It has cost me the loss of the bigger flat I was hoping to buy for my son and a lot of money. I also wanted my Will redone, it took 9 weeks from the initial interview to send me, not the new draft but the rules and regs and how much it was going to cost me. I would never use you again and would advise any one who asks me to avoid you. I hope this review does some good.

    Slow service with poor communication

    I dealt with Jason Carr, who was very difficult to get hold of as his answer machine was always switched on and he was very slow to return calls. His work was slow and emails to the other solicitor had typos in which I felt was sloppy and unprofessional. The purchase was completed in June 2024 and they decided that they had overcharged my and I was due a refund in October 2025. Sloppy work, I wouldn't recommend them.

    Unfortunately, we have been really disappointed with the service we have received from Battens. We started a legal process back in August that has only now concluded and our final invoice was much higher than our initial quote. Our experience with this firm has highlighted serious inefficiency and a lack of transparency from the solicitor. Therefore, sadly we would not recommend.

    Very inadequate service, characterised by extensive delays and a clear lack of attention being paid to our case. The end result was that we ended up behind where we started with the matter having accrued a significant cost with Battens. All very disappointing and would not recommend them to anyone.

      A refreshing change to a number of solicitors that I have previously encountered. During an extremely protracted sale, Jen Haynor always kept me informed as to the many obstacles put in the way of progressing the sale.       In terms of looks, their offices are high quality, however, in terms of service, they are really poor. The service is as good as the people who are providing it. They require better training. Would not recommend.
