    Poor & inaccurate communication, slow progress

    So far it’s been a very negative experience with Lyons Bowe. From initial issues recognising our deposit, to false information about the status of our checks (multiple times), timelines have not been stuck to at all. All other parties (mortgage, survey, sellers solicitors, estate agents, us as the buyers) have progressed quickly and everything continues to be held up by Lyons Bowe - being passed between hands and lack of accountability has also been very frustrating

    Completion Solicitor was fantastic

    Our initial experience was not good, but once we moved over to the completion team we had a much better experience, this review is solely based on Josie Whiting and not our previous solicitor. Josie was fantastic, communicative and helpful.

    Slow, admin errors, website account error

    I was looking for an efficient local solicitor who I could trust to execute my Will and take the stress from my widow when the time comes. I paid by bank transfer early to show my intentions and speed the process. Days later a trainee solicitor finally called and we arranged for me to visit Frome office to sign the very simple Will. At the office I asked for a copy of my signed original - the office staff said the solicitor will send a copy later in day or next day. A week later - no copy had been sent then automated emails came through asking me to login and pay!

    Too many different people dealing with the case and that meant that we didn't get responses and things fell through the gaps. For example the sale price was wrong on the contract weeks after this picked up and should have been corrected

      Overall Great Experience

      The whole process takes a long time but I understand this is being looked at. I also understand everyone has been extremally busy during the holiday period. There was one problem, some of my documents arrived at the office (proof by Royal Mail) but was lost!

      Maisie has been invaluable in helping navigate a minefield of bureaucracy. I am a techno phobic not necessarily by choice but by design.
