I feel it only right to take the time to write a review, because Nicola at Paris Smith Solicitors has been nothing short of exceptional. I recently found myself navigating five simultaneous mortgage applications, all of which needed to complete on the same day. The complexity and pressure involved could easily have become overwhelming for both of us, but Nicola's professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment ensured that everything progressed smoothly from start to finish. What truly sets Nicola apart is her communication. Throughout the entire process, she was consistently available by email—which, given my profession and working hours, is not always my preferred method of contact—but even more impressively, she was readily available by telephone whenever needed. Most remarkably, she remained accessible whilst on annual leave to ensure completion happened regardless of her own circumstances. That level of dedication is simply exceptional. Her commitment speaks volumes about her professionalism, but more importantly, about her character. Nicola genuinely cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to support them when it matters most. If I am completely honest, my previous experiences with solicitors have often left me feeling that they can be uncommunicative and somewhat aloof. Nicola is the exact opposite. Expensive conveyancing and very little communication and follow up. Everything was ok in the end but had to chase up on multiple occasions to maintain progress on the property sale. Would not recommend this firm as you pay a premium price for a basic level of service.

Grace Dipper supported me with an employment matter recently. The service, advice and communication was exceptional and helped reduce all anxiety that I had about the matter. Thanks Grace!

Same experience as S.E.S! They have been "administering" my late mother's estate for 6 years. She was 98, and her Will was written by them as a Trust, with themselves as Sole Trustees. So, on top of the £16K that they paid themselves for probate, they are into us for another £40K, as of 2025. It is a small cottage which has been the home for many years of the excellent lady who cared for my mother. She pays £5000 pa rent, not that we have ever seen it, and for administering it they have charged an average of £8000 pa over this period - a task we would have performed for nothing! We have no idea how much we currently owe, or why - they don't explain. 14 lawyers have been involved, most of whom we have never heard of. But they've told us clearly they're not going to step down as Trustees until we pay their bill, so they're threatening us as well. They even threatened to sell it, which would have put our tenant out onto the street in the middle of winter. Their behaviour may be legal; but it has been unpleasant - my mother intended it for the benefit of her grandchildren, one of whom has Downs Syndrome. No doubt, as with S.E.S, Paris Smith would also class these as mere "concerns"!
