After much hostility from my ex spouse regarding pension sharing and division of the matrimonial home I went to Martin Tollhurst for advice and representation. I was allotted a solicitor, Giles Dobson, to work on getting me a fair and equitable deal. Because of waiting for answers from my exes solicitors, court hearings and finally the pension scheme that the pension was with (10 months for them), I finally got a good settlement on both the sale of the house and pension share. Giles kept me informed at every stage and I felt very much involved rather than “done to”. Thankyou Martin Tollhurst and specifically thankyou Giles Dobson. I would certainly recommend you practice to anyone who needed legal advice and help.

I received exceptional service from my solicitor and genuinely couldn’t have asked for better support. From the very beginning, everything felt highly personalised and handled with real care and understanding. I always felt listened to and never rushed, and my views and feelings were consistently taken into consideration. Most importantly, I felt completely comfortable and safe discussing very distressing and personal situations, which made an enormous difference to me throughout the process.

Going through cancer at the same time was very hard Hannah made me reassured and kept me calm when things became stressful, she was very kind and understanding of my situation and I am very happy we got the outcome deserved for my children .

It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for everything Hannah has done for me. When I first came to her, I was emotionally drained, overwhelmed, and unsure how I’d ever get through what was ahead. I was coming out of a difficult marriage and facing a long, drawn-out legal battle over finances that stretched on for 18 painful months. From the moment Hannah took on my case, I felt a shift. She didn’t just manage the legal side with total professionalism and expertise, she truly understood what I was up against. My ex used every bullying tactic possible to wear me down, but Hannah never once lost her composure. She remained calm, steady, and in control throughout, no matter how aggressive or unreasonable things became. Her quiet strength gave me strength. She saw through the manipulation, stood firm when it mattered most, and never allowed intimidation or delay tactics to derail the process. She protected my interests fiercely, and I always felt that she had my back, not just legally, but emotionally too. This wasn’t just a legal battle, it was a fight to reclaim my life, my voice, and my future. And thanks to Hannah, I walked away with all three. If you're going through a high-conflict divorce, I can't recommend Hannah highly enough. She is not only a brilliant solicitor, she's a fierce advocate and a deeply compassionate professional. Grateful to Hannah and the staff at Martin Tolhurst. Started divorce proceedings as a LIP in Jan 2024, instructed Hannah at start of 2025 as needed legal counsel. Hannah talked me through each stage and never served me away from what I was asking for. Emails have been acknowledged and replied to, calls have been replied to and the constant worry as to outcome was not needed as we were successful in court. High recommend.

I recently had cause to enlist the family law expertise of Richard after the end of a long-term relationship, which saw me separating from the mother of my two children and leaving the family home. Richard's counsel was a great help during a very difficult time. I never felt rushed during our meetings or pressured to make a hasty decision whilst contemplating my options. I really appreciate the sound and honest advice I was given and would recommend this firm to anyone going through a similar experience.
I cannot recommend Nameeta Gujral (and her legal secretary Jasmine Oshinusi), family law solicitors, highly enough. From the very first consultation, they were attentive, empathetic, and fully committed to understanding my situation. They guided me through what could have been a very stressful process with genuine care and incredible professionalism. Their knowledge of family law is second to none, and they always made sure I understood each step clearly, keeping me informed and reassured throughout. Communication was prompt and transparent. From first contact, i received a friendly and professional and also sympathetic service. Everything was explained clearly so i understand the process. Family law is not easy, and emotions can often cloud your judgement, relying on a good solicitior to help you stay on th right course is invaluable! Regular updates and communication was received without it being unnecessary and at all times i was given professional and honest advice. Trust with solicitor's is sometime hard, but i was told what i needed to hear, not what i wanted at times. This is incredibly important as you are paying them, so easy to be led along and just get a big bill. It was a real pleasure dealing with them, they made a difficult situation much easier to deal with and i can not thank them enough for all their help and advice.
