I thought the solicitor was responsive and quick to act. she explained things well. However, I was concerned that the initial letter to my employer was not run past me for tone and contents. There were a couple of errors in the letter which I would have corrected and in addition, I would not have allowed it to take such a confrontational tone. I believe that both the tone of the letter and inaccuracies put my employer into a defensive position resulting in me not getting the payout which was being asked for. I believe it also caused me considerable anxiety in the process. I would have expected much better negotiating skills and techniques.
