Top 10 of 1,908 law firms for Anti-Abuse Rule, Money & Tax

Law firms ranked by client reviews

An Anti-Abuse Rule covers the rules designed to stop people arranging their tax affairs to exploit gaps or loopholes in order to pay less tax. A solicitor practising this area advises on how HM Revenue & Customs may challenge or counter such schemes, drafts correspondence and representations, and helps gather evidence, schemes, and factual circumstances to support a position before the tax authority and, if needed, in dispute resolution. Work often involves disclosure, notices, and interpreting tax guidance to safeguard a client’s position.

Where a solicitor protects your position

The specific act or decision that protects the client’s position is the potential application of anti-avoidance provisions where schemes are designed to achieve tax outcomes that Parliament did not intend. A solicitor ensures timely consideration of relevant deadlines, advises on the evidentiary requirements, and coordinates with HM Revenue & Customs, tax advisors, and, where appropriate, the tribunals to prevent irreversible or unlawfully reduced liabilities.

Natalie Smith

Tagged solicitor Natalie Smith

I needed advise on employment law. Natalie spotted a taxation issue which I flagged to my accountant. It was a significant enough issue to require further negotiation with my other party. once resolved the final review was made. This is the second time i have required legal support from Hansells and both times the process and resolution were clear, clean and well presented. Natalie's availability to talk through the issues was very good indeed, which makes the process far less stressful.

Tracey Parsons is by far the best conveyancing solicitor I have worked with. Owning a property portfolio I have bought several properties through my company with Tracey, and have also just completed on selling and purchasing my family home with her assistance. Tracey is always contactable either via phone or email, and she is always polite and friendly to speak to. The fees and general process are outlined from the start, the fees are very competitive which was one of the main reasons I chose Aldridge Brownlee initially. Tracey moves very fast in all conveyancing matters, she's extremely thorough and meticulous at reading through all the paperwork highlighting anything of importance. She's also very good at pushing forward with anything outstanding thus resulting in all parties involved moving through the process quickly. I trust that Tracey always does a good job from her attention to detail and would highly recommend her to family and friends, whom she has also helped with their conveyancing needs.
