I cannot recommend Lois Stacey and the team at Clifton Ingram highly enough. They assisted us with a particularly difficult and protracted landlord/tenant possession matter, which involved a number of complications along the way. From the outset, Lois was extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsive. She took the time to explain the legal position clearly, provided practical advice throughout and was always very patient in answering my questions, even when the situation became increasingly frustrating. What I particularly appreciated was that Lois was not simply focused on the legal process, but also on finding the most sensible and proportionate way forward given the circumstances. Her guidance before and after the hearing was invaluable, and she handled the matter with a level of professionalism and care that gave us considerable confidence throughout. David Goddard, who initially assisted with the matter, was also very helpful and professional. Ultimately, we were able to obtain vacant possession of the property without needing to proceed to enforcement, and I am very grateful to Lois and the team for their assistance in getting us to this point. A thoroughly professional and highly recommended service.

I recently worked with Matthew Bell on a Promotion Agreement in South Bucks after he was recommended to me through industry contacts. I would say Matthew has been the best solicitor I have worked with in my experience at SMEs and very good value compared to tier 1 city firms I'm used to from the plc world meaning he will definitely be one of my main go to solicitors. Matthew took the lead on drafting the agreement and his advice was extremely commercial and efficient throughout. He was a good advocate when dealing with the other side’s solicitors, had an excellent grasp of all relevant legal principles as well as their practical impacts and was always focused on the really key points. One of the most important things was that he was always available on the phone to keep me updated and always professional and friendly to deal with. Obviously, you don’t get the overnight turnaround times on drafting you will get from a city firm but his review of the other side’s comments was always done in very good time. Needless to say, with Matthew’s help we managed to enter an agreement that both sides were happy with! I would definitely recommend Matthew and hope to work with him again in the near future.

I needed advice concerning a lease renewal for a commercial property but had been let down by 2 solicitors (no replies) before I found Clifton Ingram. They have been superb from the first introduction to the final signed lease. In less than 24 hours, Richard had replied to my email detailing the scope of work that would need to be undertaken and estimated costs. Since that first contact, Richard and Freya have been amazing. Thorough, knowledgeable and responsive with expert eyes for detail. Their advice has been excellent and even the commercial property's landlord said what a great solicitor I had! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Clifton Ingram and will certainly be using them again if I need a solicitor in the future. The original estimate for costs was bang on as well, thank you to the whole team there!

Clifton Ingram took on the conveyancing of the sale of my property to my local authority and the purchase of a new ‘part by part rent’ property. Both of these were complicated, but I was allocated two solicitors,one to work on the sale and one for the purchase . We completed six weeks later . I’m so impressed and would definitely recommend the Wokingham office !
