I contacted Butcher and Barlow, as I have used these solicitors for many years, with my will and POA. I was directed to Paige Lester and was able to get an immediate face to face appointment to see her. At the time, I just needed advice, as I was lost as to how to resolve my problem. Paige immediately understood the problem and pointed me in the right direction to hopefully resolve the issue. After exploring what she suggested, we found an area in my Transfer Documents, which spelled out what could be actioned. Paige complied a letter to this effect and it was then sent to my neighbour. Since then, the problem seems to have been resolved and I am hoping this will continue. I can't thank Paige enough for all her wisdom and help and I know that if the problem should return, that I can go back to her for more help.

We have used Butcher & Barlow to buy our new house and as first time buyers they have been great at explaining the whole process and also keeping us in the loop. We didnt feel the need to chase for updates as we knew they were working hard to get our house sorted and gave us plenty of updates when we did ask as we were unsure mainly due to the sellers. Thank you to Amanda, Freya and Megan for your help with this process and being so patient when we know our process was not the easiest.

Cannot fault Butcher and Barlow one bit. Amy and Kimberly were so patient and extremely efficient, we didn't have to chase anything they did at all and they managed to get our house processed so smoothly, and for a good price too. Highly recommend.

Shocking shocking shocking! Mistakes throughout including not paying the stamp duty on our property and not sending completed documents to trust Green to complete sale leaving us open to payment demands months later. The list is endless but 10 months on we are still tripping up on the shortcuts they made. Do not use butcher and Barlow for purchase and sale of Northwich properties.

Needed to set up a Lasting Power of Attorney in a quick time frame. Contacted Butcher & Barlow and was allocated a very quick initial appointment. Met up with a cracking lady, Hannah Sharrock. What a class / quality act and highly professional. Saw the whole process through with inclusion of our son and daughter. My wife and I use Butcher and Barlow for all our estate management. Earlier this year we worked with Chris Hopkins and Ella Woodier on my wife's will and our POAs. The service was excellent. Most recently we worked with Laura Cuddy and Anthony Higham on a transfer of American real estate. The service was top notch, including coordination with our American attorney. I would highly recommend Butcher and Barlow.
The immediate response from Alex following my cancellation of our first meeting told me all I needed to know about trusting Alex. I rebooked soon after and still can’t believe the level of care & support I received over the next 1.5 yrs. My divorce was deliberately made difficult & lengthy by my now ex spouse. Nothing phased Alex as she navigated me through the whole process, offering options & strategies that only someone with her level of compassion & experience could do. During face to face meetings I found Alex to be friendly, patient and completely committed to finding out my exact wants & needs. Due to Alex’s commitment to communication, I can honestly say that I felt truly supported rather than stressed during the whole divorce process. I needed to ensure I received half of what I had invested into my 30+yr marriage otherwise I wouldn’t be able to survive in the future. This involved securing a sealed financial order which I felt was gained expertly by Alex, on my behalf. I am now happily divorced and currently purchasing my own home. My future is now secure & I will be forever thankful for Alex’s unwavering support and outstanding expertise in ensuring the desired outcome for me.
