Update - The Information Commissioner's Office ordered Banner Jones to comply with my subject access request by a set date. My file arrived three days after this date in a paper envelope that was completely ripped open on delivery. The papers showed evidence of outright lies and that they had held £330 of my money intended for a leasehold management pack for almost two weeks before making payment to the management company. The papers also included copies of some (but not all) the lost documents which they had categorically told the ICO they had never received - another lie. Original review: Banner Jones handled a property sale on my behalf and it was the worst service of any kind I have ever received. Errors, delays, lack of communication to the point that I tried contacting the partner responsible for the matter who never replied. The firm lost documents then denied they ever received them, then failed to comply with data access requests on numerous occasions. Stay well clear.

As I was a first time buyer I had a lot of questions about the processes - the team in Sheffield were more than happy to explain in detail and put me at ease with my first purchase. Easy and professional to deal with.
