    Transfer of Title Deeds - Land Registry

    I have had connections with Ellisons for many years, mainly regarding my Will, but this is the first time I’ve had anything to do with Land Registry. My husband died last year leaving two properties to me and his two brothers and it felt like quite a complicated process to have to consider! Emily dealt with this whole procedure incredibly efficiently Right from our first interaction I felt reassured by her professionalism and expertise. She kept us all clearly informed every step of the way, was friendly and approachable, and her communication was excellent! Nothing seemed too much trouble and I can’t thank her enough for all she did during such an emotional time.

    Redraft of Will and PoA

    Having moved from Scotland to England I needed to have both my Will and PoA redrafted to reflect the difference between Scottish and English law. Ellisons were the closest solicitor to my new home so I chose them to carry out the job which they did in a professional and efficient manner.

    Probate Application for Late Fathers Estate

    The Ellisons team helped my brother and I complete and file the Probate application for our late father's estate. The process took longer than expected due to some tax questions from HMRC and delays in obtaining some information from my father's accounts. Ellisons kept us informed throughout the process, although there were some frustrating delays. Ellisons were professional and courteous at all times and the Probate application completed successfully and satisfactorily.

      Swift and easy house sale

      Extremely smooth and easy house sale. We were kept informed all the way and I believe Ellisons were dealing with lots of questions on our behalf behind the scenes. The offices are very nice and all the staff friendly and approachable. Definitely recommend.

      0 Stars isn't an option. Absolutely dreadful - did not perform the task they were paid to do then ran up billable hours on things I hadn't approved. Funds on account was used up on pointless tasks (that I'd already paid someone else to do) and successfully wasted 6 months on a time sensitive matter. Asked for justification of billing and was told in was in her (Lauren's) notes but were unable/willing to provide anything that would be considered "legally admissible" to support this - I was asked to attend a meeting but the requestee didn't turn up; I was asked to communicate through a specific email address but never received a response, instead their comm's came from a different address that i didn't know about and hadn't approved into my inbox. They are obliged to work in the best interest of the client but I have nothing that supports this. Avoid at all costs. Matter now with the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
