We would like to pass our thanks to immigration lawyer Sohan Sidhu. Sohan oversaw the visa application for our daughter-in-law, a US resident to come live with our son in the UK. Sohan was incredibly thorough in what was required, he clearly knows how the Home Office works and he ensured every necessary document was included resulting in a 400 page bundle being submitted. Pretty certain if we had tried this ourselves the application would have been rejected, the process appears to be very tick box and depends on what side of the bed an immigration officer gets out of that morning. Sohan ensured we had every base covered and we shall be eternally grateful to him for enabling us to be with our kids and watch them grow and develop. Not often I want to hug a lawyer..x

Sally was brilliant from start to finish on the first face to face meeting we had. I felt comfortable from the start and everything was explained in great detail and also broken down to help me understand each area and the process moving forwards. From the initial appointment with Megan to discuss my circumstances through to signing of the will, the whole process was handled efficiently and timely. Megan was able to advise on a number of issues that I raised and was also able to advise on other issues I had not considered. A very professional service that I will use again as circumstances arise.

0 Stars isn't an option. Absolutely dreadful - did not perform the task they were paid to do then ran up billable hours on things I hadn't approved. Funds on account was used up on pointless tasks (that I'd already paid someone else to do) and successfully wasted 6 months on a time sensitive matter. Asked for justification of billing and was told in was in her (Lauren's) notes but were unable/willing to provide anything that would be considered "legally admissible" to support this - I was asked to attend a meeting but the requestee didn't turn up; I was asked to communicate through a specific email address but never received a response, instead their comm's came from a different address that i didn't know about and hadn't approved into my inbox. They are obliged to work in the best interest of the client but I have nothing that supports this. Avoid at all costs. Matter now with the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

My brother and I can't thank Shah enough for seeing our late father's probate sale through to completion. He was patient, efficient and always on point, ensuring we were always ahead of the game. No matter how many obstacles our buyers solicitors put in the way, Shah's wealth of experience shone through. Ellisons not only dealt with the sale, but their Private Client team also handled the probate in a very timely and efficient manner. Great service all round.

My wife and I had our Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney prepared by Amy and her team, and we highly recommend Ellisons as a go-to law firm for wills, LPAs and inheritance tax advice. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable, taking the time to clearly explain each step of the will writing and Lasting Power of Attorney process and providing helpful guidance on inheritance tax planning. The entire experience was professional, efficient and incredibly smooth from start to finish.
