Mixed service. They are good if the case is straight forward. But if there are complications (like issues with land registry or anything business/commercial related), not so.

Just reached the stage of being passed to the legal team. Everything so far has been very efficient with regular contact. It can be difficult to get through via the phone to speak to people at times, but emails are answered very quickly to ease any concerns or questions you may have.

Felt mislead when working on the affordability assessment and still confused about the additional charges relating to searches. Been in the house over 6 months and still haven't got an answer on my land registry question.

This was our first timing having to both sell and buy. Lyons Bowe were very helpful with explaining everything. Most of their communication was good and the majority happily answered the millions of questions we had - I do think during there could have been more chasing during the enquiries. Jada was amazing when it came to exchange and completion, especially as it was not always made easy by external factors. She worked extremely hard for us.

We had a great experience with Lyons Bowe. The team were efficient and kindly answered all our questions, from conveyancing to exchange/completion. Most of our correspondence was through emails and an app which was really convenient when at work and unable to take private phone calls. I anticipate using them again in any future property transactions!

Disingenuous and negligent. Avoid at all costs. After engaging Lyons Bowe last year for a simple change of names on a mortgage, and receiving the completion letter in November 2024, we’ve just found out while trying to remortgage with another solicitor that the old details on the mortgage still stand. Lyons Bowe told us that the Land Registry sometimes take a while to update the records and any contact with them would have to go through Lyon’s Bowe, and that it’s unlikely that if we spoke to them much would be done without it coming through a solicitor. My husband then called the Land Registry directly who found that a query had been raised for Lyons Bowe that was simply ignored by them, so it very much seems like they’re trying to cover their tracks. Two hours plus later of my husbands time on the phone, I called to ask who to escalate to given the fact we paid for a service over a year ago that hasn’t been completed and only encountered further deflection in them telling me the land registry query had now been responded to. This is now delaying the application for our remortgage while introducing further admin because Lyons Bowe are evasive and obstructive. We paid over £1k for this service and it wasn’t done, despite receiving a completion confirmation. Save yourself time and money and use a solicitor who can actually treat client cases with transparency and accountability.

Lyons Bowe was extremely helpful and efficient for our first home purchase. I would like to mention that Holly Inglis and Ally Hardy were both especially helpful and made the process smooth and quick! Alex Smith also made our exchange and completion go smoothly and made us feel confident throughout!
We appointed Lyons Bowe for the sale of our property, even though they are not local to us. I've been really impressed so far. The app is great once you get used to it. It enabled me to fill in all the house sale info and scan in my documents using my phone. We've not had to visit an office at all so far as signatures have been written electronically. Prerana, the legal assistant assigned to our sale, has been brilliant. Very efficient, responsive, proactive and quick to get things moving. We're now moving on to the legal team for the next stage so hopefully our experience will continue to be excellent.
