I found Sarah Hayes to be understanding of my situation and she provided a detailed analysis of my agreement. I had an urgent employment matter that I needed to take advice on and despite contacting Paris Smith late on a Tuesday afternoon, they were extremely helpful and managed to arrange an appointment for me the next working day. I had the pleasure of dealing with Adam Wheal over the next few days and it's fair to say his advice, expertise & knowledge in this area, together with his understanding and empathetic manner in response to my unexpected situation, were all second to none. I found Adam very easy to speak to and he always responded to my calls and emails very promptly. I used Paris Smith for the purchase of a commercial property and I very much recommend Isabelle. Isabelle took over my case when her colleague went on maternity leave and she did so seamlessly. It was a slightly challenging purchase due to various freehold and listed building challenges but she was clear and quick throughout. Expensive conveyancing and very little communication and follow up. Everything was ok in the end but had to chase up on multiple occasions to maintain progress on the property sale. Would not recommend this firm as you pay a premium price for a basic level of service.

Same experience as S.E.S! They have been "administering" my late mother's estate for 6 years. She was 98, and her Will was written by them as a Trust, with themselves as Sole Trustees. So, on top of the £16K that they paid themselves for probate, they are into us for another £40K, as of 2025. It is a small cottage which has been the home for many years of the excellent lady who cared for my mother. She pays £5000 pa rent, not that we have ever seen it, and for administering it they have charged an average of £8000 pa over this period - a task we would have performed for nothing! We have no idea how much we currently owe, or why - they don't explain. 14 lawyers have been involved, most of whom we have never heard of. But they've told us clearly they're not going to step down as Trustees until we pay their bill, so they're threatening us as well. They even threatened to sell it, which would have put our tenant out onto the street in the middle of winter. Their behaviour may be legal; but it has been unpleasant - my mother intended it for the benefit of her grandchildren, one of whom has Downs Syndrome. No doubt, as with S.E.S, Paris Smith would also class these as mere "concerns"!
