The professionalism of TS&P and in particular, Harry Smith I can't speak highly enough of. The guy is a gem and an absolute diamond. He offered a first class level of service and his assiduous nature and diligence in seeing through my case through from start to finish has been incredible. The case in total lasted around 3 years, and at points I wasn't sure there was going to be any resolution at all. Harry kept me informed along the way and was very honest throughout which was refreshing, even when the end didn't look near. Harry was very transparent, understood my angle when it came to our family's case and worked hard to get me a level of justice I was seeking. He kept in touch fairly regularly and it was refreshing to hear him speak so passionately about our case, it felt like it mattered to him. He would happily jump on calls with family to explain the state of play when further clarification to others was needed, and no task was ever really too much for him to do. When we worked towards a breakthrough, he was very diligent in coming to a resolution that suited myself and gave me a level of satisfaction after years and years of frustration. His proactive nature was outstanding and from our point of view, Harry Smith sits in an extremely high regard.

I worked with Kirstie Law at this firm. I was disappointed by the lack of impartiality I experienced during mediation. Rather than feeling that both parties’ positions were being neutrally facilitated, and mediated, I felt judged and that aspects of the other party’s behaviour were minimised or normalised. Some comments went beyond what I consider to be a mediator's role and left me in a "them against me" set up during the mediation, which was unsupported, and painful, in the midst of recovering from a prolonged betrayal. Based on my experience, I would not use this mediator again.

I'm not able to recommend this firm based on my experience. They acted for the executors of an estate; I was one of three executors. I wasn't aware that I'd been named as an executor and it took over three months for the firm to inform me, although my name and address were in the Will. That sluggish start continued, with the whole process taking over two years and three months. The Will was complicated by the number of beneficiaries, but all were contactable and responsive. The Will had been drawn up by this firm. The quality of work was fine, but just took too long. That was latterly due in part to the even slower pace of HMRC, but the firm shared responsibility. The fees amounted to almost 10% of the net value of the estate.
Really good solicitor, we have worked with Penny and Louise, both have been incredibly good with communication, worked very hard to help us with our move and have made the move feel much less stressful as they've kept us updated. The solicitor used by the seller wasn't very good, so we are extra grateful that we chose to use Thomson Snell & Passmore.
