When I reached out to Butcher & Barlow originally back in 2020 I was introduced to their personal injury department, who immediately recognised the potential of my claim. I have had one solicitor and contact throughout a long 5year process and Greg carefully gathered and evaluated evidence, including medical reports, expert opinions, and photographs, over 3 year period. This groundwork was essential and done very with so much care and attention. Greg and the team at Butcher and Barlow always acted swiftly, in securing expert evidence, medical appointments to submit further evidence and even found a replacement expert and obtained permission to rely upon the new evidence, so the case could move forward. I cannot praise Gregs support enough, throughout the process he has always used clear communication, quick responses, and a great ability to translate legal jargon into everyday language. I have no regrets about pursuing legal action. Greg and the team at Butcher & Barlow have made a really difficult and personally emotional process as manageable as possible, and I’m so grateful for the way they’ve handled my case with care, attention to detail, compassion and understanding throughout.

I have been on this planet for many a year, and have had countless dealings with different people and organisations. Perhaps I am one of those blessed or very lucky individuals, but generally speaking, all my dealings with B & B have been painless. Having said that, I don't think that my guardian angels have anything to do with the most professional and customer friendly treatment I have received from ALL at Butcher & Barlow (NORTHWICH). I was not expecting a ''What do you think of Butcher & Barlow'' today because I have done business with them a few occasions prior. However, when I left their office today I told the dear lady at the front desk that I thought they were all very charming people.

Partners ignored client instructions to engage on a fee paying personal matter. Then the complaints process failed to follow their own procedure. Consequently a new full service firm has taken over my file.

After a bad experience with a previous solicitors Butcher & Barlow were very helpful and supportive. Especially Claire who gave me all the correct Information and kept me informed throughout the process.

Having given the maximum score for Communication, Initial Impressions, Approachability, Documentation Accuracy, Legal Knowledge, Service, Competence and Value for money et cetera it is necessary to quantify the reasons in doing so. With my world being turned upside down without any notice and not knowing which way to turn, I approached Caroline Cockill-Guy (Partner of Butcher & Barlow, Northwich Office) whom I had had an extremely positive legal experience with in the past for help and advice. From the onset I was put at ease and a plan formulated to address the issues in a truthful, professional and forthright manner. The efficiency in prompt communication and attention to detail in following this set plan by Caroline, with Debbie and Carol in support at the Butcher and Barlow LLP Northwich Office was the primary key to win the case. It is acknowledged that delays can take the ‘wind out of the sails of a case and lose momentum and flounder. Not once did I experience this all too common problem that others raise of their chosen legal representatives. It could be stated that Caroline Cockill-Guy and her team gave me the answers before I asked the question, all phone calls and emails were returned within minutes not hours or days. This approach unnerved the opposition solicitor whose motives and professionalism was extremely questionable thus contributing to them losing the case. It is a fact that Caroline and her team have set me on a path to a much happier, healthier and brighter future which I cannot thank them enough and will always be indebted to them for life. If asked would I recommend Caroline and her team, my answer would be a resounding unhesitating yes, apart from if the person asking for a recommendation was my opposition that is.
