Overpriced

Simple tasks, extortionate prices. They take advantage of non legal trained customers thinking that they don’t have a clue.

A Devastating Experience with Napthens Solicitors – No Accountability

Title: A Devastating Experience with Napthens Solicitors – No Accountability, No Justice
Negative Rating!!!!

I turned to Napthens Solicitors for legal support—what I received was negligence, conflict of interest, ignored instructions, and unauthorized billing. My experience spanned over a year and culminated in Napthens withdrawing from my case after causing significant damage.

They shared my late husband’s death certificate with opposing counsel without informing me.

They missed key deadlines, failed to enforce settlement terms, and let critical agreements lapse—all while charging me.

When I raised a conflict of interest, they refused to reassign my solicitor, dismissed my complaint, and billed me for complaining.

I had a £0 balance when I formally objected, yet they continued to act without consent and added new charges before withdrawing.

I was left to file my own strike-out application because they neglected to challenge a baseless claim.

All of this occurred without regulatory intervention—the SRA and Legal Ombudsman have yet to act, despite being made fully aware.

After 20 documented examples of misconduct (all posted publicly here: https://x.com/MY_Property_UK/status/1923493082579730790), I’ve paid the price in time, money, health, and trust—and no one has been held accountable.

I do not recommend Napthens to anyone seeking competent, ethical, or client-centered legal representation.

Great Service

I have had dealings for numerous matters for over fifteen years with Napthans, and for my latest dealings used the southport arm to the buisness with good success.

The team were attentive, and kept me up to speed on all matters, with a positive outcome once again for myself.

I will be using them again soon to update my will.

A Devastating Experience — No Accountability, No Transparency
Negative Rating!

My experience with Napthens LLP was deeply distressing. I turned to them for legal support and instead faced:
– Unauthorized actions, including sharing sensitive personal documents without my consent
– Ignored instructions, even after I explicitly withdrew authorization
– A conflict of interest, which they refused to address or reassign
– Billing for unrequested work, including charges for submitting a complaint

After raising these concerns formally, I was left to file key legal documents myself when Napthens failed to act. The firm then withdrew from my case, leaving significant damage behind.

I submitted a complaint to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), who declined to take action but did not exonerate the firm. This matter has now been with the Legal Ombudsman for over 450 days without resolution — a delay that Napthens appears to use to downplay any accountability.

I posted a verified review of this experience elsewhere, which Napthens responded to publicly — ignoring every key issue — and the platform temporarily removed my review after their response. That alone says a great deal.

If you’re considering using Napthens for legal services, document every interaction, ask hard questions, and be aware of your rights. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm to anyone seeking competent, ethical, or client-focused legal support.

Used Napthens recently for conveyancing to support a house sale and a house purchase. This would be the third time of utilising them and the service gets better each time. The process was very slick, I was regularly updated and overall communication was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend to others.

They made very little progress with my case and it cost me a considerable amount of money. I ended up contacting the legal ombudsman as I felt the costs did not reflect a fair outcome.

Napthens have been great from start to finish, their mobile app makes the conveyancing process very easy. Communication and update's are fantastic, we moved sooner than we ever thought possible, this would not have happened had we used a different solicitor. Rob and Alex and both been great, highly recommended.
